I'm also tired of the "best day ever" blah blah blah, although I'm open to using it sarcastically. I would love to see the romantic cursive "everyday" sentiment found in so many collections retooled for real, everyday life. I don't know if the new "adulting"-themed items popping up lately are the answer to this, but it would be great to switch out the saccharine for something more savory in our scrappy diets.

I thought of you peas today when I was in HomeGoods. They had a framed poster that said "BEST DAY EVER!" At first I thought it was just home decor but then I realized it was in the wedding section. What do you do with that after the wedding...? As a person actively planning our wedding, I think it's silly!

My son does actually say best day ever a lot or he did when he was a bit younger.
While life isn't bad it certainly isn't all roses and sunshine either. I would love to see more real life stamps without swearing though. I also don't think my life is that bad so don't want them to be too negative. I guess I am just going to have to use my alpha stamps to stamp what I want.
I don't have a bunch of selfies or pictures with a lot of people or pictures of my husband and I so I don't do the lovey dovey layouts either. Not a lot of pictures of family either. Sounds depressing but it's really not.
I think I have a few stamps that I think fit this style It's the little things, real life, say cheese, this moment, today, fun, life in pictures, click, a story to tell, and this is my happy place (everyone should have a happy place even if it isn't fancy), all the details, work hard play hard, documented, my life, that happened, enjoy the moment. I found all of these in my box of close to my heart stamps. Of course they also include the typical love this and best day ever, etc but I like the ones that are more real. These were also scattered over many many sets.

I'm bookmarking this one - because we have the most uneventful life ever - but we make of it what we want to.
My favorite 'saying' is from a Garfield cartoon: THERE's AN AWFUL LOT NOT GOING ON!!!!
Thanks for some great ideas too PEAS
Love the ones about folding the laundry because that's what I think I do everyday and there is only two of us plus a four legged 'son'.
Need one that says "Off to Walmart we go (AGAIN)"

I agree 100%! We need more lines celebrating the every day things. The only time I ever say Best Day Ever is too my dog. Like when she goes on car rides and has special treats I will tell her "It is the best day ever!" She wags her tails and gives kisses. I don't think when the scrapbooking companies came up with Best Day Ever to put on everything this is what they had in mind. ! papergoddess- I agree about the lines that make the tough stuff all sad and negative. I don't think tough things are bad either. It is called life. I need things that say- I have more weeds in my garden than flowers. This day was a waste of makeup. Netflix itinerary Yes, I spent the day reading

Speaking of "Best Day Ever"... I need a stamp that says "Worst Day Ever!" This is DD's new favorite saying whenever things don't go her way.

Also, I need stamps that say:
Crud, it's time to dust again. I'd rather eat dirt! Perfect marriage? Not in this house!! Time to clean the bathtub AGAIN! And just a plain ol stamp that says - I'm so tired
