Good evening ladies! Sorry for the super late post but we were up and out the door before 6am this morning so no time to post and no signal at the beach! My day was PERFECT. I ate really well until dinner time where dh and I enjoyed a dinner at a Mexican place. Once I get it all entered into MFP, it will probably be within my calories for the day but it wasn't all great choices. I could've done worse though! I got my workout done early...as soon as I got to the beach. I did a 35 min walk/jog along the beach...it was glorious. Then I plopped my butt down for 4-5 hours. Every hour I'd get up and walk along the water. I ended up with well over 10,000 steps by doing that! I hope you all had a great day!!

WOW that does sound like a great day!! And congratulations on your eating and balancing a relaxing beach day with your exercise I signed up for crossfit at work today - wooohooo!!! Yes, I'm scared and intimidated and did not want to do it out on the sidewalk in front of co-workers, but I signed up and committed any way It's only twice a week, 30 minutes. But it's exactly what I want and need to try to get my mindset back into exercise makes me feel good I'm still doing dog classes. Trying for twice a week, but last week was rough. My dad had a stroke so I have been in the car almost daily so no time for walking or anything. Yesterday I worked from home and forgot to put my fitbit on, so had zero steps. Today is an in the office day so I have 6326 steps, 42 active minutes so far and dog class tonight. So it's a good day. No telling what tomorrow or the weekend will bring though as I haven't seen my dad in two days and I need to go over there tomorrow and Saturday/Sunday.

I have been really slacking on posting in here and also really slacking on good food and quality exercise. There are 8 birthdays in mine and my husband's family in the month of June, including my own, so it is so hard to try and stick to a food and exercise plan.
It all starts over today. I went to the gym for the first time in 2 weeks and I have been disciplined with food all week. I went out for dinner last night and stuck with grilled chicken, steamed veggies with no butter, and no dessert!
Pizza is being brought in at work tomorrow and I'm going to stick to my salad and almonds.
Oh and thus is ilovebuble, I changed my display name because I felt like my old one didn't fit anymore!

Hello my friends!
It has been a long week. Dh is traveling, we have had contractors in the house, and I have not been home since 9:00 this morning running kids. I did not get my workout in. I will be home after 10:30 tonight, so not sure if it is going to happen. If not, I will call this my rest day.
So, fun story... I was running last night during my son's practice. A former student, who just graduated, ran past me and noticed it was me. He slowed his pace and we talked and ran 2.5 miles together. It was so nice to catch up.
When we parted ways he told me I really pushed him. I laughed and said something about him slowing down to run my pace (8.30). He said, "I know, but I was only planning on running 10 miles." Lol!
Note to self... 18 year old cross country/track runners are no joke for an old lady. Lol!

LOL on the "only 10 miles!" TankTop, that sounds like my husband "I'll just do a short run today, maybe 10 miles." Did my OrangeTheory thing today after not going for a week. Was surprised that it took 5 minutes to get in the green zone (something like 71% of max heart rate) and far longer to get into the orange zone. That's supposed to be a sign of fitness, but you are always working with your own heart rate so it's ALWAYS hard! LOL. I used to get into the green zone the second I started warming up! Planning to really gear up this month. I pay for 8 sessions each month. My month begins on July 7. I am having surgery on July 21 and will be out for a week for sure. I'm also going to Boston for a few days and Austin for a few, all in this month. So, I will work out every other day when I am not working and try to get close to that when I can. I figured out how I can actually squeeze in 8 between all the travel and the surgery/recovery. The surgery is on my hand which will limit what I can do at OTF. I can still do cardio on my own and will while I am travelling.

Your legs just keep going and your lungs don't feel like they are going to cough up out of your mouth? That's what happened to me when I ran. And the show for the public with the boobs bouncing even with 2 bras on. You are just awesome!

Anyone can be a runner. Congrats on the smaller sizes!

Happy July! My summer is going by too quickly. brandy327, so glad you had a great beach day alone! Spending time alone can be so restorative! I'm off to a good start this morning. I was out early, mowed the lawn and got in my walk. We have cool and cloudy skies this morning which is a treat! Thanks to MFP, I'm really staying on task. Last night I was tempted to nibble on junk and instead I brought up the MFP app and the urge didn't seem so strong.

I can't wait to try OrangeTheory when it starts here. Sounds very interesting. I'm behind on my updates! Wednesday, I went for a nice bike ride on the trail. There were a lot of other cyclists out there - the weather was beautiful for a ride. Funny story, as I was getting on the trail, a couple of men rode (heading east) and as I turned to ride west, they told me to have a nice ride. On the way back, not too far from my starting point, I saw my DH running. He and I stopped and talked and he took a picture of me on my bike. I turned my bike around so it looked like I was headed west again (to get the trees in the background rather than the adjacent street.) The same guys rode past us and one guy said, "Well you didn't make it very far!" I told him I was on my way back. I had dog agility practice too, so my ride time was limited, but I did get an eight mile ride in. Agility practice went well - I hadn't gone to the group practice in a while, so it was nice to see everyone. I got to practice what I learned last weekend at the agility seminar I got up early (Thursday) to go to lap swim with a few of my friends. Got to swim for 30 minutes and then I got ready in the locker room to go to work. I missed last week, so it was the first time I've been swimming in two weeks. Weather was cooler than it has been in a while (low 60s) but the pool water felt warm. (We were at an outdoor pool.) There were a couple other people, but it was mostly us. (I really need to swim more than once a week, but I don't know how I can swing that.) Took a mile walk over my lunch break. Thankfully, I finished before the rain started Then, last night, I went to yoga class. My friend teaches it and it was the second time I've been there. Hoping to make it a weekly thing.

Hi fitness folks-- I haven't been around much, and haven't had any success in becoming fitter either. But I'd love to get started (again.) It's been a very busy couple of months -- two graduations, an eagle scout court of honor planned and executed, multiple house guests and party hosting, and extra long work hours have kept me off my schedules and good eating habits. I have a lot of work, but very little social stuff going on for July, so it's a good time for me to be thinking about it. Let's see, this morning I dumped a whole bunch of cookies in the trash. Nobody really liked them, and we kept picking at them on the counter, so I got them out of here. It's another perfect New England day, so I'm going to take the dog for a nice walk at the pond. I've had so much trouble with my fitbit charge since shortly after I got it in January. I haven't been wearing it, because it won't sync, the battery runs down too fast, and the time is never right. It's frustrating. I should have gone with something simpler, but I really wanted the heart rate function. I used to like to add extra steps when I went to the grocery store (walk up and down every single aisle), but this one doesn't count steps if I'm using a cart. Seems like my new fancy fitbit is an expensive piece of junk. I really liked my old one, but it broke (like in half.) Aargh, thanks for letting me vent.

Contact Fitbit about the problems you're having. They're really good about issuing replacements. Glad you joined us! Baby steps is all it takes to get started

Good morning! I am a little behind with my workouts for the week. Just did upper body and abs. Still working on getting back to healthy eating. Hasn't been the greatest this week. I can definitely tell I haven't had as many veggies this week. We don't have much planned for the weekend besides cleaning and getting life back in order (since the beginning of May we have had tournaments every weekend but one and have them the next two as well). I'll get some meal planning and prepping done so next week is a good week!
