Just wondering what recommendations you all have for black spray mists, there are so many different ones now. I am looking for something that is completely opaque and only for making ink splatters on a page, the Mr Hueys and Sprinklers are out as they are so hard to get in person in Australia. Thanks in advance.

If you are only using it for splatters I highly recommend Chinese ink which if you live near an Asian area you can get a huge bottle for a few bucks!

If you prefer scrappy brands though I would suggest Dyllusions, easy to get in Australia.

I love the black Heidi Swapp colourshine mist. My Spotlight has the Mr Hueys sprays. Not a huge selection but worth a look.

Have you checked Spotlight for Mr Hueys? That's where I get mine as well (in NZ).

I was in Spotlight today at the Morayfield store and I swear they did not have a single mist in the place, last time I was in they had heaps of the Heidi Swapp. Will have a look at the other store close by for the Mr hueys, thanks for the advice. Impearia I am going to China town next week in Brisbane so will have a look at some of the stores there .

For black splatters, I made a Mini Mister with water and a bit of black gesso. Then I shake, remove the lid and tap the tube to get the droplets on the page. Very effective and easy. I also just put a bit of black acrylic paint on the end of a round paint brush, dip into water, then splatter. Works great! Both of these methods are how I do all of my splatters (which I do on almost every piece I create). Have fun!
