I was putting groceries away with one of the girls I watch and I saw a container of cream of mushroom soup and she said yuck! she doesn't like soup. I told her that you can do awesome things with soup when cooking and you can turn soup into nonsoup. it was a way to get her interested in something other than herself and her stupid phone. I asked her to pick another item in the cabinet that I can use with the mushroom soup to make a dinner. She chose a bag of pinto beans. so now I have to come up with a recipe using dried pinto beans and cream of mushroom soup.
I am hoping that the pea-cooks can help.
I haven't had time to google anything as of yet. Thought I would do that this weekend.

I know nothing of pinto beans combined with cream of mushroom.
However, mix the cream of mushroom with a brown gravy mix, the powder, and cook with beef in a crock pot...beef with gravy that can be served over potatoes, open faced would work too.
If I remember correctly, mom did the same with chicken. However, I don't remember what she substituted for the brown gravy mix to make it more chicken like gravy.
I think the only thing I have ever eaten regarding pinto beans was pinto beans. The one where you soak the beans forever and cook them as long. LOL! I like them. My family doesn't. So, you aren't going to find pinto beans in our house.

I often do a baked chicken dish where a can of soup makes the sauce - I'm sure you could add the beans to it.
Slice some potatoes and layer on bottom of casserole pan. sprinkle half the beans over them. add some frozen vegetables place chicken thigh fillets (any chicken cuts would work) on top add rest of the beans pour over the can of soup bake moderate oven for 45 - 60 minutes.

I've got nothing. I think your daughter may win this one...and I am the queen of throwing sh*t together. The saying at my house has always been when asked what's for dinner 'I don't know, I made it up. It's either going to be really good, or really bad. Time will tell.'

Get those beans soaking - when you cook them don't use much water, season for your family's taste and watch closely. When they are cooked, add cheese and mash some of the beans. You will be good to go. They are multiple recipes for enchiladas with cream soup.
You could cook pinto beans and serve as a side to Poppy Seed chicken which uses cream soup.
Brown and seasoned pork chops in butter. Put in crock pot pour cream soup over and a 1/2 can water. Cook 3-4 hours. Serve over rice. Same can be done with chicken.
