DD turned 13 a few days ago and she's a huge Doctor Who (and Sherlock) fan so I whipped up some super fast Doctor Who-inspired gift wrapping for her book-loving little self. These were super fast jobbies I did while waiting for the cheesecake to bake so I could go to bed. Not perfect. But she was THRILLLLLED. There are more pictures on my blog if you want to see some close ups: Doctor Who inspired books as gifts.

These are awesome! I also have a whovian dd who will turn 13 this month. Thinkgeek.com is my go to for gifts. I found really cool pencil pouches on etsy too

How cool! Your daughter is going to love what you've come up with! It's the special attention to little details that make memories that last a lifetime. Someday when she's older, I bet she'll look back on this birthday fondly, remembering that you took the time to get even the little things right. <3
Now as for Dr. Who, my husband has spent the summer watching every episode of Dr. Who, starting with the older series and working his way forward. I'm usually in the room with him when he's watching them, so I usually find myself following along while I'm doing other things. There has only been one time that I made him quit watching it, and that was the Empty Child episode. It freaked me out big time!! Now my husband will tease me by following me around while asking me "Are you my mummy? Are you my mummy?" We are obviously quite nerdy, lol.

Thanks, everyone! She enjoyed them very much. She kept the wrapping. That Empty Child episode was creepy!! I am a handy Think Geek shopper... those boxes had Doctor Who t-shirts and knee socks in them.
