We recently returned from a road trip from San Diego to San Francisco to see a game. The Giants were playing my favorite team, the Pirates. I had been to Candlestick, but never AT&T. It was great to finally see this stadium! DH and I honeymooned seeing different stadiums but a lot have since been replaced, especially back east.
The Pirates are in the thick of things trying to chase Milwaukee. They've gotten as close as a game and are now 1-1/2 back. If they can't get the division, they are also within shot of the Wildcard.
I would prefer that the Giants win the National League west but that's a tight race too. The Dodgers have been on fire lately!
DH likes the Angels in the American League and they are in the race too so that's fun for him. I like to see small market teams do well since it's good for the game.
How is your team doing now that August is here?

Giants fan here! We are a few games back from LA. Hope the guys can start pulling out some wins.. Very soon! My husband went to game two of the Giants/Dodgers series. Giants lost. He still had a good time. You've got to when you drive over 7 hours to get to the game, right

My beleaguered Yanks are struggling to get in the 2nd WC spot. It's a far cry from the days of yore, when the pennant was a given.
Still, it's been fun to see how well they're playing with the new guys recently traded in!

I got to see the boys in blue (Royals) when I was back in KC for vacation right before the All Star break. They are five games out of first in the AL Central, which frankly, I am quite okay with. Usually by this time in the season the Royals aren't really playing for a "purpose".

Oakland A's are still doing good. Made a couple of trades that hopefully will pan out.

I don't follow baseball very closely at all, but my 2 oldest grandsons are avid As fans. I thought the younger one was going to slit his wrists the other day when they traded Cespedes. LOL If the As don't go to the World Series this will be why, just ask him.

Big Angels fan here! It's so exciting to see their star hitters really perform this year, pitching staff is finally solid, and Mike Trout is a rare phenomenon. They are having a great season, but those darn A's keep winning, too. It's going to get interesting when they play each other more often as the season winds down.

The Braves are 2 games out of first but on a 5 game losing streak. I fully expect to see them in the play-offs. They don't typically have much of a problem getting that far. It is winning the play-offs or the World Series where they often fall apart. Still, I'll take that over those that rarely have a chance at either!

I'm a Red Sox fan and last week I wanted to send them hate mail. I'm so unhappy with the recent trades - we have absolute no pitching now. Can't win games without pitching!

Another Red Sox fan here. This year.... we're just giving everyone else a chance. It's been painful to watch.

My dodgers are doing pretty well right now, but I have to admit I'm not following as much as I usually do, since I can't see the games on TV. I went to the game on Friday night. They've won 7 of the last 8 games, but happen to lose when I'm there.

Sucky suck suck. And they didn't even try to make trades. It's like they've already given up this season.

Yankee fan here. I'm in denial about this being Jeter's last year. I'm going to be so sad next year.

My boys in blue , Dodgers, are doing well. Although they lost to the Cubs today- the cubs! Ours is a house divided DH and DS are Angel fans and DD and I are Dodger fans. The upcoming freeway series should be interesting. At least we have Greinke and Kershaw are going for us.

My Orioles are 3.5 up on the Blue Jays and have a 3 game series against them starting tomorrow, such be fun.
With football kicking off Thursday I'm going to be in sports heaven! I told DH he needs to catch up on all his shows so I can clear the DVR. Don't want to miss any games that overlap each other.
