I just received my forth shutterfly photobook. When I received the book I was disappointed. The book was filled with pics of the family dog that passed away in February. The end of her nose was cut off on three pics. I was once told that they go over the books before they are sent to print, but when I called to ask about the problem I was told that was wrong information. They do not review the book before it goes to print. What is your experience with shutterfly photobooks???

I have had a good experience with these. For the price (cheap) I don't expect a person to review my book before printing. I do make sure that important parts of my photos are not too close to the edge of the page.

I've done many photo books and not had that happen. I have found typos that I missed on review. I never heard (nor expected) that they would review my books.
When you reviewed the finished book before ordering did you notice that her nose was pictured in full?

Just got one from them today and am very happy with it. I too, watch how I place photos.

I had something similar happen when I would print photos with Walgreens. Something about their software automatically blowing the photo up? That's dumb! If your book doesn't match the layout you made when you designed it, you could ask for your money back.

I've ordered lots of photo books from them and have always been happy with the quality. Their customer service is generally very good. If you're unhappy, if you don't like how the book turned out, I would let them know.

I use Shutterfly a lot. I love all their sales and freebies. However, I think their quality has gone down a lot in the past couple of years. I've noticed some of my printed photos don't have the right colors, or something is cropped oddly. That being said, for the price I pay, it's not that big of a deal. A photobook I'd care a bit more though.

I have only done one photo book with them and found the software/interface clunky and slow. I use mixboook now. I wait until they have a sale, as they are pricier, but I think the quality and ease of use far superior.

A photobook I'd care a bit more though. I just recently tried Shutterfly because I read somewhere they their prints are true 4x6 unlike Snapfish. Snapfish prints are 4x5 7/8. My Shutterfly pictures didn't look good at at all. I'll have to keep trying different places. OP, sorry about your photobook. I'd look into a refund. And I'm so sorry about your family losing your dog.
