brandy327 The general rule of thumb is 300 miles on a pair of shoes.my running app tracks this for me, but according the running store and everything I have read, you should be rotating at least two pairs of shoes at a time. Get rid of any that make your feet hurt regardless of mileage. Went to see the doc today. X-rays showed arthritis and a none spur in my shoulder, but he does not suspect that is the issue. He believes I have a trapped nerve. I go for testing on the 25th to determine which nerve is trapped meh felt confident that a combination of rest, bracing, and a shot regimine would relieve the pain without surgery. In the meantime no extended planks or push-ups for me. He also gave me a script for anti inflammatory meds. Ouch! Hope the meds help until you can get in for more treatment.

Any of you runners care to share how you know when your running shoes are worn out? STBC TankTop I track my miles on my running app. I use the nike+ app and you can attach a shoe to each run. That way you know how many miles a shoe has.
I'm really struggling with my food this week. My stomach still thinks I'm on vacation and wants to eat all the time! I added more protein to my diet today in hopes that will help.
Ran my fastest (treadmill) 5K last night. I run slower on the treadmill than I do on concrete - it's weird. Either way it was a good run. Today is arms and incline (treadmill). Tomorrow is rest day - yay Friday!

TankTop - Ugh- hope no surgery!
AN brandy327 There's no way I could order a bathing suit online! I have to try on about 100 of them to find one.
No workout today. Trainer had to cancel- so my legs get one more day to prepare for 10(10)x10. My shoulders and triceps are sore from yesterday. And brandy327 I did have to use 10 pounders for hammer curls and tricep kickbacks- 100 reps each time. So I feel your pain!

I don't spend a lot of time in a bathing suit and I rarely find anything that fits my bottom half well. So I figured for the cost it was worth the risk.

brandy327 My problem is my boobs. By the time I find one big enough to hold them, my poor butt is lost. However, I will be buying a 2-piece soon- just a little more belly fat to go!

Get rid of any that make your feet hurt regardless of mileage. That's my understanding as well. I have several pairs of running shoes right now, and right now for training runs, I am using two of them - my Brooks Ghost 8 and Hoka Stinson. I also have a pair of lighter-weight "flats" for 5K races - New Balance Zante. I know my Garmin can track mileage for shoes, but I haven't ever added in my shoe info. I just go by feel. One thing about running shoe fit is that your running shoe size will typically be 1/2 to one size larger than your normal shoe size. For example, by measurement, I am a size seven, but in almost all of my running shoes, I wear a size eight. I even have a pair of 8.5. Don't want cramped toes up in the toe box and feet will swell and expand during a run.
