The get put on hangers and hung from the hook on the back of my bathroom door. That way, I can put them back on after I shower the next day. I could never have clothes laying on dressers or chairs because my cats would take that as an immediate invitation to go sit on them. Anything that is unusual and placed on the dresser or bed is an open invitation to use it as a bed. In fact, when I am doing something, like sitting on my bed and sorting paperwork, I will place a pile of junk mail on the dresser or end of the bed. That way, they go sit on that and leave my sorting piles alone.

I have a set of hooks just for that purpose on the small wall in my shoes and accessories closet. I don't like the idea of putting something that I've worn back in the closet next to actual fresh, clean clothes. Jeans that are clirty go there, clirty jammies go there in case I want to wear them again before I take another shower and am ready for clean jammies. Like, if I'm having a jammie day, but I'm forced, for some unholy reason to leave the house for a short time in the middle of my sacred jammie day. The clirty clothes that I wore for that short time period of being forced to leave my house will then go on those hooks too. This is what I do, too--I have hooks on the inside closet wall so the clirty clothes aren't put in with unworn, clean clothes.

Rarely do I re-wear. If so, hang back up.

I sit in a pristine cubicle in a pristine building. I've never been anywhere of that description! Even the people dress impeccably. The building has an amazing view of the Rocky Mountains and everyone behaves just as they should. It is not what I am used to.

I work from home so it's pretty common for me to wear the same basketball shorts around the house for two or three days. I put on real clothes if I go anyplace. If I change to leave and when I take them off at night they get hung over the back of the chair in my bedroom. I don't re-wear shirts.

I just put them away. I only wash clothes if they are smelly or dirty so usually I just put clothes away (workout clothing excepted). I have better things to do than laundry and what a waste of water and energy.

During the school year I wear a lot of top layers, like cardigans of various weights and even sleeve length. Those don't need to be washed after every wearing, so they get hung back up in the closet. Something that I've only worn a few hours, not sweating or doing anything messy in it, will get hung back up - like the pants I put on today to go to a visitation. Wearing them for an hour or two in an air conditioned car and very cool funeral home doesn't mean they need to be washed.
Typically when I get home from school I change into comfy clothes, like yoga or sweat pants and a big shirt. They aren't worn for that long and usually only for lounging around. Those get hung on hooks on the back of the closet door. So does my nightshirt, which does not get washed after every wearing.
Dirty clothes go in the hamper, unless I need to specifically treat a stain; those often go on the floor to remind me to take them to the laundry room and do whatever needs to be done.

I must say, the fact that even though it's 110+ F outside here in the Phoenix area, every store / office, etc. is kept at practically meat-locker cold temperatures helps to not sweat, lol!! And there is NO way I will be driving anywhere in my car without the A/C on FULL.BLAST. at all times.
(actually, I keep forgetting that I want to bring a cardigan to work with me-- and my hands and feet are cold pretty much all the time at work.)

I don't understand how people can rewear clothes. My clothes all get washed after one wearing. I can say the same thing, if you wear something it's not necessarily dirty either and can be reworn, unless your just a stinky person (not "you" persay) It's a waste of water and detergent in my opinion.

I have a lot of clothing that fall into this category because I will put on a blouse and pair of pants to run to the store, then come home and immediately change out of them into something I've already ruined, LOL! I am terrible about wrecking clothing---whether I'm cleaning, cooking, crafting, whatever, I destroy clothing. I splash stuff on it, spill stuff on it, snag, it, cut it, etc. So in order to not have to be purchasing new clothing constantly, I wear the already wrecked stuff at home everyday, and change into something that is miraculously still in good shape only as long as I have to wear it. That's why people who drop by unannounced make me panic, because I'm probably wearing something I've only owned for a year that looks like I've owned it since I was 20. To get to the point, I tend to keep one outfit out during the day. (If I know I'll be going out several time.) I just drape it on my bed, or on a chair, etc. At the end of the day, if I've only worn it a short while, I just put it back into the closet where it belongs. Sometimes I hang it up on a hook on the back of my door or on the inside of the closet door.

I have a cat with anxiety. I never leave clean or dirty clothes out in the open or they might get cat puke or pee on them. They either get hung up or go into the hamper (with closed top.)

I hang mine on hooks behind my closet door. Then when most of my clothes are CLIRTY and hanging on the hooks, I take them off and wash them because they're all wrinkled and I can't remember if I wore anything more than once. It's an inefficient system, but it works for me.

Threads like this make me think I am a disgusting pig. I just rehang in closet- my thought process is much like AN's - if I'm gonna wear it again it must not be that dirty?! Also, even if it was "dirty" how dirty are your clothes that you are concerned it will sully the other items in your closet? I must not have as bad of BO as you guys! I've taught my girls to rewear as well. Dh rewears jeans but that's it. His just lie on the floor...

I rarely re-wear tops or dresses (unless I've only worn them for an hour or 2). However I wear jeans / capri pants / trackie pants / shorts several times before washing. They always go back into the wardrobe. I'm not the neatest person in the world - in fact DSO thinks I'm a slob - but I wouldn't leave clothes lying around on a dresser or a chair. That's too untidy even for me, and it would do my head in.
I also re-wear PJs. They go back under my pillow each morning. I put them on to go to bed and take them off not much later when I get too hot.

I have one or two outfits like this every week. They are the clothes I change into when I come home from work and change out of my scrubs. I can't bring myself to just put on pajamas immediately so I have a couple pairs of pants and a couple shirts I'll put on for the 3 hours between work and bed. They live on the top of my dresser.

I put hooks in my closet, specifically for these clothes. If I go in our pool, I put the clothes on the hooks until I am out of the pool. Sometimes I will change out of a skirt, to put on grungy gardening clothes. Once I am done gardening, I will put these clothes back on.

Hung on the outside of the wardrobe. That way they get to air, don't unfreshen the clothes inside, and they remind me to wear them again.

It's mostly just jeans. They're folded over a chair in my bedroom.
I don't trust my tops to not have BO or deodorant stains on them, to wear them a second time.
Unless it's a sweatshirt that was worn on top of a tee shirt. Then I'll wear that a few times, as long as it still smells clean.

I have a couple hooks in our closet for those things...usually just yoga pants/capris and my offensive graphic t-shirts that I'm much too old to wear, but still do.

Oh, my family thinks that I am obsessed with this, but, I have a system. I usually wear things (clothes)twice before they are washed. The items that are hanging (pants, blouses, etc.) are hung back up with the hanger hook turned around. T-shirts and other things that are folded have a separate stack in the drawers/closet shelf. It is my pet peeve to have clothes laying around.

Clothing that you have worn, but plan to wear again before laundering? ( CLean/dIRTY ) Or do you think rewearing without laundering is an abomination? My clirty clothes are strewn about my bathroom and bedroom floor-- not a good solution. I am SO not reading CLIRTY in your thread title. My brain keeps changing the R.

Depends...the outfit I wear to church for 1 hour? I hang it back up. Jeans that I am going to rewear? Folded on a chest in my room. Flannel pj bottoms that I am going to use the next night (ftr I only wear 2 nights)? On my bathroom floor. So I can't even commit to one location for my clirty/dirlean clothes. I never wear tops more than once...except for church.

My clirty clothes are strewn about my bathroom and bedroom floor-- not a good solution. Kinda like you! Actually I toss most of mine on the floor of my closet (jeans and sweatshirts oh and yoga pants)! It's my terrible space. my child's closet I hang those in a different section but the next time the weather is appropriate they get worn then washed so there is usually only one outfit and a sweatshirt there.
