I managed to do just about nothing ....came off a cruise at the end of June and I am still having issues with rocking/dizziness/nausea/wooziness. Tried to free motion quilt a bit yesterday and was able to for about 30 minutes before I was just too woozie. Also worked on some EPP elongated hexagons for the connectors of a EPP quilt by hand.
Yesterday was the first day in a month I've had energy to do anything but work, sleep and sit in a chair and watch TV. I HATE IT!
I hope to be back to quilting more very very soon.

I am still working on a baby quilt. I have started the machine quilting, but it's been too hot to work on during the day, was it has a fleece backing. I am heading back to the UK for a couple of weeks in September so I really need to get it done before then.
I did pick up a knitting project, so have been working on that the past couple of days.

No pics to post, but I've been working on baby stuff for a friend's son - he and his wife are expecting their first child in October. Bibs, burp cloths, some soft toys and loveys, and some blankets. The mom to be loves owls, and I found some really cute fabric at fabric.com that matches the Carter owl crib bedding.
It's been a while since I did any baby sewing and I'd forgotten how much fun it is.

I am continuing to work on 2 twin size quilts. I am in Portland for a few days and want to get to the Fabric Depot.

Having now, belatedly grasped how to post photos, I'll throw in a couple finished from last month: A graduation gift for my niece, hexagaons made from a jelly roll -- and a group quilt I coordinated with women for our church:

My youngest DD taught herself to crochet a few months ago. And forgive me for bragging, but she is very, very good at it. She is teaching me how to crochet also. I have mastered the singe and double crochet stitch but that is all. I have tried making the granny squares but they are a mess. LOL!! DD just watches a YouTube video and has it down pat almost instantly. We are going to make some towels like these Crochet Hanging Hand Towels for Christmas gifts.

The Dress is done 100%. Bridesmaids' blouses and skirts are done (minus the hem on one and I'm going to get that done here in a minute.) DD is working on the bow ties for the groomsman and groom. I"m sure those will be frantically finished at 2pm on Saturday because that's how she rolls. She's even worse at procrastination than I am. My last sewing project is the flower girl bolero which will take me about an hour. I'll bang it out on my serger this afternoon. I love my serger. I swear it's the best thing I've gotten out of this wedding. (New son in law is not a thing. LOL)

Not much to report here. I've been watching endless paper piecing youtubes to work up to getting started on DGD's Harry Potter quilt. If I can keep finding enough to watch it will keep giving me an excuse to not actually work on it. I'm afraid I've bitten off more than I can chew with this project, but I can't give up.
In the meantime I've been busy with a pile of sweats and pajama pants my niece brought over to be shortened and put elastic in the hems. I love my sister dearly, but she can't thread a needle and has always brought me her mending. Her DD thinks that is just how things get fixed LOL

That is one amazing wall hanging, especially as it is made from scraps - it's gorgeous! It must have taken you forever! I don't quilt and have never got around to trying, but I love to look at quilts and things like your wall hanging.

I'm working on zipper wallets/coin pouches to sell on etsy and a holiday craft fair. I also have a baby quilt basted and ready to quilt for my project 100 Quilts, 100 Kids. It'll be quilt 2 of 100. I'd like to get a lot more quilting done, but I'm in the process of finding a new apartment and selling off a lot of my stuff to come up with the deposit.
