Good morning ladies!! We ended up skipping the fair last night and I'm SO glad we did because it poured and there was lightning. We instead went to see Secret Life of Pets and it was really cute. DH and I got a medium popcorn to share and between the 2 of us, we ate 1/2 of it. And I didn't feel that great afterwards, so I won't be doing that again. Tonight we're doing the fair. I have a plan as far as eating and I plan on sticking to it. I'm off and running this morning - lots of stuff to get done before the fair! Have a great Friday ladies!!

I just got back from running--well, walking and running some of the time. Glad to get it out of the way early or I kind of dread it all week. Feel my eating has kind of gotten away from me this week. And tonight we're going to a friends potluck so will need to exercise a fair amount of restraint. I think I will steal from some of you and make a plan before I go and try to stick with it.
Also found out the other day that the pain in my right shoulder is actually a torn rotator cuff. Has anyone else dealt with this? I've been in physio since January and it doesn't seem to have helped. Discouraging.

Tonight we're doing the fair. I have a plan as far as eating and I plan on sticking to it. Have fun at the fair!! Last night, DH and I went to yoga class. We had been working on the crow pose for the past couple of weeks, and I was able to do it and hold it! I was pretty excited about that. My DH was having trouble with it, so he stopped and took a picture of me. He posted it on FB. I wasn't excited about that. :-\ I was also supposed to run three miles as part of my half marathon training plan, but was too busy last night to get in a run. Our local running store's morning fun run was this morning. They do it once a month, but we don't usually go because there's not enough time for us to run and then go home and get ready for work. Starting this month, they moved the time to 5:30 instead of 6:00. Eeeekkkk!!! :-O I am so not a morning person. I ended up getting woken up by the dog early this morning, so I guess it was a sign for me to go to the run. (Trust me...I tried to fall back asleep but I knew I needed to run.) There was a pretty good turnout. The 5K course we take from the store is my least favorite and one which I never run well. However, I did very well today and ran it in the fastest time to date. I even had a negative split, which means I ran each mile faster than the one before. I don't do that very often. Despite having a good morning run, this will not turn me into a morning person! :-D Have a great day everyone!

Oohh STBC A perfect negative split is always my elusive goal. I am getting better at controlling pace, but have not mastered it yet. Good for you! I got up earlier today. I am a teacher in break, so the fact that it is 9:00 and I have worked it and made a great breakfast already is an accomplishment. Lol! Finally... I have settled on a paint color. I am going to go buy paint soon and then get started. I am so freaking indecisive. I want one color for the main floor, but the lighting in each room is so different. It was hard work. Lol! My kitchen is currently 3 colors and I own enough sample pots to paint an apartment complex in shades of tan, grey, and griege. Lol! Dd comes home from her besties house today. Another 2.5 freeway drive for her. Thank God for Road Id so I can stalk her. Lol! I am going to run tonight. Hopefully the kids will want to take their bikes and go with me. I love that! DS has a baseball tournament 2.5 hours from home tomorrow. It will be a loong day. We are going to pack clothes in case they need to play on Sunday. In that case we will find a hotel for the night. Make it a good one my friends.

Oohh brab74 A perfect negative split is always my elusive goal. I am getting better at controlling pace, but have not mastered it yet. Good for you! I'm terrible at pace. Trying to work at it - especially not starting out so quick. I really didn't keep a close eye on my watch this time. I've run the pattern so many times that I know when I get to each mile without looking. Finally... I have settled on a paint color. I am going to go buy paint soon and then get started. I am so freaking indecisive. This is why my bedroom has remained "undecorated" for over six years. I can't make a decision on any of it - especially paint color :-0 We really need new bedroom furniture but I'm still holding out hope that I will find a used set in decent condition for a reasonable price. I'd rather refurbish a quality older set which is better built then spend $$$$ on a new set which is built like junk.

I was up early to get ahead of the heat/humidity and got in a good walk. It was also a nice way to clear my head after I woke up to the terrible Dallas news this morning.
Still faithfully recording my food in MFP and it makes all the difference in how good my eating day is! I'm taking my niece out to lunch but I'm going to suggest we split an appetizer. Then I'm going back-to-school clothes shopping. Yikes! I can't believe I just wrote those words. I cleaned out my closet yesterday and tried on several outfits so I know exactly what I need this afternoon. I always buy the same size, even if the clothes are a tad bit too tight, so that I keep my goal always in mind.
Have a productive day everyone!

Morning from the west coast! Yesterday was travel day. Up at 3:15 am was rough!
I had this whole plan for breakfast. Brought protein in my shaker bottle and was going to buy almond milk and get ice from the Starbucks in the airport terminal. Wouldn't you know they only have soy and coconut? I don't do soy, and too much coconut doesn't do well with my stomach. I could have mixed it with water but it doesn't taste good. Luckily I had snacks packed but by the time we landed I was starving!
My brother has an off week from cancer treatments so he's home too. My mom is super happy to have all her chicks under one roof. One of his favorite places is Ivar's, so last night we had fish and chips for dinner. Lots of protein at least!
Family time today, movies and stuff. Planning on going to my CrossFit box home away from home tonight. They are super nice!
Keep up the good work everyone!

I got in about 10,000 steps yesterday which was good. My feet were killing me by last night and I iced them for a while before bed. That seemed to help them.
I lost another pound! My weight is going down very slowly. I know it's better that it does, I just want my old body back!
I didn't set weight loss goals for the month because the diet I am doing will help me to lose weight when my body wants it lost. I am still not missing the carbs or anything bad. That is one thing I find amazing because I am a carbaholic and I miss a good spaghetti and meat sauce fill or a lasagna or a piece of chocolate cake.

Discouraging. Emelle Sorry about your shoulder - I had to have surgery for Torn Rotator about 4 years ago. I had injured it 6 years prior to that but never had it officially looked at until the pain set in! Get a good ortho, some things require surgery to set it right!

Omg ladies! NSV for me.... Dd took this picture and posted it on her snapchat. This is me running tonight. The kids were on their bikes. NSV... I did not cringe when I saw the picture. I did did not feel the urge to delete it And here is the biggest one.... my mind said, "Dang girl, your legs look nice!" That last one is huge for me. I pick myself apart. I find every fault and flaw. I don't see my progress in the mirror or in my mind. My image of me is still the old me. Tonight I feel good about this picture and my progress.
