I have Netflix and Hulu.
Before that I DVRd and fast forwarded through commercials.
I literally cannot remember the last time I saw a commercial.

I can never remember the product just the ad.... so... the guy who eats a cookie while downloading a movie, the one with the girl who buys a purse with the money she got back from some insurance policy and with the other girl who gets a dollar from some weird guy with a fishing pole... hate both of these.

The hpv vaccine commercial (I am pro vaccine except for that one. I have seen the scary effects with friends daughters)
The volvo wedding commercial broken up. Makes no sense
The new subaru commercial that has a car accident (ptsd from dui accident. Not cool)

I rarely get to see the American commercials as I live in Canada. Usually there is an "interruption" of the commercials & there are Canadian commercials instead. Some of your commercials are weird, like the KFC one, with the sand & Flo is nutty.
Our Walmart commercials seen to portray women as stupid, using bubble thoughts. At least we don't have many of the drug commercials, but viagra & similar do get advertised.

I pay $11 per month for commercial free Hulu. It is amazing how out of touch I feel now without ever seeing commercials, I really enjoy it.

I would pay good money to never see another commercial for ANY prescription medication. I wish the pharma companies would use the money spent making them on lowering the prices of their medication,

And those Gross bears urging everyone to "enjoy the go." UGH. Please don't make me imagine anyone pooping. Don't tell me the tp is so great you could wear your undies a second day! Don't make me think of skid marks. Or tp on the bears' butts. I get it, everybody poops. Also, it's older, but the laundry detergent commercial with the judgemental mother...the snotty "I saw that" when the younger mom is making pbj sandwiches, bc she made them the 'wrong" way. And commercials with snotty, bratty kids.. The Cuties citrus commercials, and anything where kids make a huge mess or are disrespectful or making adults look stupid. So I guess I don't like a lot of commercials, haha! |

The lack of commercials on the BBC is the one of the reasons I don't mind paying the annual TV licence. Everyone with a TV pays the licence, other TV channels ITV, Channel 4 etc don't get public money and need to raise funds through advertising.
So when a movie/event I like is going air, guess which channel I hope it is on!
