A lot of things. But the worse is that I have developed a massive fear of heights since having kids that only gets worse as they get older. I never thought twice about it before they were born and I was fine with having my 18 month old on the Space Needle (but not on one of the ride that goes over water at Sea World San Diego when he was 14 months). I have since (he is almost 6 now) had many and still do have nightmares about him falling off of the Space Needle and am very leery of anything high up when it comes to my kids. It's a completely irrational fear considering the gross negligence that would be involved for something like to happen and I tend to not let go of any hands when I'm worried about something like that, but I am pretty sure I've had that nightmare in the past 6 months...it jolts me awake every time. The only solution to a nightmare of any type is waking my husband to cuddle with me...when I have them after he's already out of bed (early riser I am not) it is nearly impossible for me to go back to sleep.

I had the craziest fear considering I live in Southern CA (the land of little to no public transportation). I was scared to death to drive freeways after something happened a few years ago. I would take side streets to San Diego (40 miles). It was awful. It's mostly gone now. I used to not be able to drive a certain stretch at all (even after some places got better) because it was 8 miles of no off ramps. I did it the other day and did fine. The thing that got me over it for the most part was getting a driving job. I had that until March and now I'm a Lyft driver. The other night, I got a call late at night and had to drive the young lady quite far into an area I've never been. I thought "oh crap" but I managed (now am trying to only drive during daylight hours). This is true for me. I'm even nervous when dh drives. I drove about 1 1/2 hours on a trip this past week, and I was gripping the wheel and going slow the entire time. I haven't really let on to my family that this has become a problem for me when it hasn't been previously. My other fear is lice and bedbugs.

I haven't really let on to my family that this has become a problem for me when it hasn't been previously. My other fear is lice and bedbugs. This is how mine was when it was at it's worst. DH and I were geocaching and he was driving down a side street and I could not do it even as a passenger. It was awful. Even now, I really don't like being a passenger while the kids drive (they are both licensed). I like being the driver and being in control of the situation. I used to fib to family that the kids wanted to take the train to see them (about an hour ride) so as not to have to admit that I had an issue driving. I even thought about taking driver's ed as an adult to get help but never pursued it. Over about the last year or two, it has gotten better but there was still a transition in San Diego I didn't feel comfortable doing but I had to do it late at night with a passenger last week. You have my sympathy for your issue. Mine was so bad that one time I drove my kids to an amusement park along the stretch of freeway I couldn't do. Well I did it going and couldn't do it on the way back. Instead, I took a dangerous road clear across the mountains and stayed overnight before taking side streets home. Ugh, admitting that to DH was not fun. I would practice alone as much as you can to try and get over it but not sure how easy that is if you're scared. I couldn't even get on a freeway for a few years.

Spiders....I'm terrified if them to the point of being physically sick. And I feel stupid for being so scared It would be logical if I lived in Australia, but there isn't any venomous spiders here!

I'm sure we all have silly fears. I can see that a more crowded pool would cause some fears.
Mine is mice, it's crazy I know, but i'm still afraid of them. I think it's the fear they'll run over me or something because they are sort of fast...and yeah I know they want to avoid me as much as I want to avoid them for the most part. The one on my parents patio last weekend was the exception to the rule with the dog hot on it's tail. I chased the dog only because I feared having to deal with mouse in dogs mouth, but all the while I was screaming like a loon for my son to come out (adult, not a child, lol.) Once he was out and trying to get the mouse to leave, I was up on a chair. And don't you know the mouse apparently liked the patio because he kept turning up. Thankfully the dog was dumber than the mouse and never got him.

The eye doctor and suspension or other big bridges. I will go to the dentist 10 times before I will go to the eye doctor. At least at the dentist they give you the laughing gas. I have a reoccurring dream of me driving a car and it flies off the side of a bridge. ALL of this but add drowning inside the car because I can't get out!!! Oh and I will NOT go to the dentist 10 times before the eye doctor, it's vice versa for me. I do loathe them both but I can tolerate the eye doctor more. I've used both my eye doctor and my dentists for years and they know my phobias so they take real good care of me. My dentist will send me straight on to a endodontist if I need a root canal or anything other than the simplest of fillings. I tend to faint in the dentist chair!!! With my vision, I've just reached the age where I need reading glasses. The constant taking the off to walk and then putting them back on to read drives me nuts. I would love to just get the contacts that are work like bifocals but there is NO way I could put my fingers in my eyes every day.

Escalators.
I fell while on an escalator when I was five years old. I've always had a fear of them but for the last ten years I won't use one if I don't have to. I will if there is no other choice but I'm absolutely terrified while I'm on it. I have the locations of all the elevators memorized at all the airports I use on a regular basis.
