Hugs to you. I really am surprised that the biopsy was before the MRI. Is it only one?
I found that the panic can be kept at bay by a smile and holding DH's hand. It really is out of your control, so just take advantage of the quiet times. Start thinking about breast surgeons and who/where/how you want your care to be (if needed). Let's hope all goes well, but it's good to be as proactive as possible.

At times like these I try to remain calm until a diagnoses is actually at hand. (I promise myself I can panic then!) Until then, my prayers are going out to you that it will be the outcome we all hope for. |

I remember a few years discussing imaging with my doctor at the time. Once you do imaging and anything is found, they HAVE to pursue it. We opted not to, because everyone has stuff and our immune systems deal with it (even cancer) on their own. We were dealing with the urinary tract rather than breasts, but the concept still applies. The fact that they have to biopsy has to do with regulations rather than risk. Truly, it is apt to be nothing.

My grandmother used to say, don't borrow trouble. Or as BeckyTech said, wait for a diagnosis. I know it's hard to not let your imagination run away with you, but it isn't productive. Try to just deal with each step along the way while we all keep our fingers crossed for things to go really well for you! |
