Yes, I have too! Sad thing is that many of them I liked at the time but years later I wonder "what was I thinking"" I keep them in the albums though. I'm always worried now when I create a page -what will I think of it in several years.

I have that happen sometimes - not as often anymore because nothing gets glued down until the end. I put everything were I want it, take a picture with my iPad, and then glue it all down. The picture on the iPad reminds me where I want things to go. It takes longer, but I am happier with my pages. I've cut and placed (not glued anything down) and hated the look, so everything goes into my scraps, and I start over. I re-did some that I hated from when I first started scrapping.

I created a LO a few weeks ago that left me feeling eh about it. Finally worked on it this weekend and changed a few things to it. Still isn't the greatest but far better than before. As much as I would like to go back and fix older LOs, I just can't. It shows how much I've grown as a scrapper over the years and you can tell when I found my style. Took awhile to get there but it's recognizable. I'll have to say my family doesn't even notice the paper and all the other stuff. They're too busy looking over the photos and laughing at the journaling. That's what keeps me going even when I have those days when I do an awful page. That's how I feel about my pages too. I know that not they are not always going to turn out 'perfect.'

I started scrapping in 1995, so yes MANY awful pages. Now, I do okay pages that don't make me cringe. I don't strive for perfection with my pages.

Yes, I absolutely have; I've had outstanding ideas... as in the best layout EVER and when it was done, it was definitely better in my head. I always put it in my album though, because I've had a couple layouts where it grew on me and my rule is that if I don't like it in a month, I can redo it. I always like the results better when I re-do it, but I want to give it time.

This one time, in like 2006 or 2007 I tried to create a page based on an ad I'd seen. It was for that show where people cut hair as like a competition. Shear Genius I think it was called. Anyway, they had a nice ad with cascading hair of all different colours and I thought that'd be interesting to mimic on a page. It looked HORRIBLE with paper. Add in the only patterned paper I had was cheap, terrible crap and yeah that was a BAD page.

I have a few times, I place it in a redo pile and when the mood strikes me and I have an idea of what I can change I work on that particular pile. Sometimes something really good happens.

I did with this one page. I let it sit. Still didn't like it. Took it apart and put it back together differently. Still didn't like it. Redid it a third time. Still didn't like it. I finally finished it, but it's in the back of my head like a poison ivy itch and I know I'm going to re do it one of these days when I figure out what I'm doing wrong. I don't understand it. I've made hundreds of pages and never had that problem before or after.

I have only had 1 page that I completely redid. Not bad for having been a scrapbookers for 15 years.

Oh yes! I have made a bunch of pages that were just awful that I had to toss out. What I normally do is try to salvage any paper or embellishments before throwing it away. Sometimes layouts work wonderfully and sometimes they just come out looking like crap.

Good for you Triplettkarla! I wish this have never happened to me either. But it sadly did... I guess some people are naturals, its easy for them to do it, while for others, not so easy.

There have been a few, specially ones from the early years, but one in particular stands out in my mind, as even my scrappy friends were stunned at it's level of terrible. lol Funny thing is I never re-did it, I am almost proud of how bad it is.....
