There is a part time job I found that would be fantastic for me. The hours work well with my daughters school/band things, it will get me out of the house and I enjoy working. Its 10a-2p five days a week.
It requires a bachelors degree which I don't have but am in the process of getting. Would you still apply for it under those circumstances? I don't know how firm they are because I know the push is for the degree and if you prove you are actually working on getting one, they will sometimes waive that requirement.
I just never know and I don't want to waste anyones time.

I would still apply and mention in the cover letter that you are already working on your degree and how it will help in this job etc.

Yes, I would apply.
side note: I was listening to NPR the other day and they were talking about the fact that women will only apply for a job if they meet 100% of the prerequisites, while men will apply if they meet 70% - I thought that was really interesting. The inference was that this was one of the reasons why men are often more successful in their careers than women.

Definitely apply and state in your cover letter that your currently in your Bachelor's track. If you just put it on your resume with dates, it's hard to tell if it is ongoing or you partially completed and aren't finishing. It very well could be that they are using that criteria to weed out 18-21 year olds more than to require the degree. They may be willing to make an exception for a more mature employee with some experience.

No harm in applying. If you don't get the job, you are no worse off then you would be not even trying.

I like to think that most businesses will hire a more mature person with some life experience even though there may be some small gaps in the requirements. I'm somewhat Pollyanna-ish like that, lol!! good luck with it!! And that's really interesting, about the difference between how men and women view the requirements of a job listing-- sad, kinda, from a woman's point of view, but still interesting.

I would just write on your resume Bachelors Degree expected May 2017. They just put that there to weed out immature young folks. What is the job?

I would even address it in the cover letter. I'm working on my bachelors degree, these are the skills I bring to the table, this is how I'm developing, this is how my education and my skills make me a good fit.
Sell it, don't apologize for it.

Under the education section of my resume, it lists my current schooling and when I expect my degree. I would definitely try applying for the job.
