I went from a Win7 to the 10 yesterday. It all downloaded in about 2 hours. Nothing is amiss, EXCEPT--I can no longer put the cursor on something and give a little tap and get the process to work.
I am on a HP laptop. I have changed the setting to have the touchpad on always, with no delay.
In the past, I could put the cursor over the + for a new tab, give a tap to the pad and the tab opened. I could put the cursor over a thread title here, give a tap, and the thread opened. I could put the cursor over a link, give a tap and it opened.
Now, I have to give a "hard" click on the mousepad to do all those functions. My mousepad has a "touch area" and below that bars for "hard clicks"--I'm having to use that click to do much of anything.
Anyone have any idea on how to get it all functioning again?

You are probably going to have to go deep into your settings menus and do some spelunking. When my laptop involuntarily converted to Windows 10, I lost my ability to fingertip scroll on the touchpad. My husband/tech guy had to go into settings, open mouse/touchpad settings, and explore for about 20 minutes. It was NOT an obvious fix. Even better, every time the laptop reboots, I lose it again and have to remember where I went to re-set it.

Thanks for that--but that is a discouraging answer, Mystie.

My only issue was having to reload some Google products such as hangouts.
