I went to order the Instant Pot (it isn't insta-pot btw:) through Alexa. They are having issues with Alexa now so she won't give you the sale price which means I don't get the $10 off. Amazon won't give you a credit for it. I just have to wait and keep trying to see if they can fix it before the deal ends. So they gave me a bonus for having Alexa but won't honor it. Nice.

Someone posted that Alexa wouldn't work for them - but when she went to her cart it was there with the extra $10 off.

Go on chat. I had a problem, not exactly the same, but they said they will credit back.

The price Alexa offered for the Fire tablet I ordered was higher than what was listed on the website. It wasn't full price, but it wasn't the Lightning deal, either. Untried for awhile hoping that it would change, but I ended up ordering through the site anyway. Luckily, it was a good price to start with. I cannot ever see myself using Alexa to shop anyway. It's more of a hassle than a convenience.

I never use it either. Nothing I try works and I cannot find their chat feature.

They do keep this hidden well or so it feels when you are trying to find it. This was very nice of you to post the link

Alexa worked fine for me and gave me the extra $10.00 discount Alexa worked for me, too, but it was 3:30am (EST) when I checked out (the first time lol) and the site may not have been bogged down so early in the game. When I was reading the news later in the morning, 8:30ish, there were already articles describing checkout problems.

I'm not 100% sure but the InstantPot is the same as the InstaPot on the threads and that elaine recommended

The real name is "Instant Pot", but somewhere here someone started calling it InstaPot and that seems to have stuck with many of the peas. We are all talking about the same thing though.

So rather than waiting for them to fix the problems, I called back and spoke to someone that wasn't in the "Prime department". The first woman I spoke to didn't have English as a first language and I don't think she really understood what the problem was. The second person I spoke to was much more helpful and she tried to troubleshoot the problem. I had to explain what was going on a couple of times and she actually couldn't find any previous problems like that one so she gave me a $10 credit on the account which took care of the problem.
So I ordered the pot and then my son found some speakers so I tried through Alexa and yup, same problem. I decided to just order it online and when I went to checkout another Alexa credit for $10 was on my account so it's all good.
I just have a hard time understanding why they couldn't just give me the $10 credit to begin with. If you aren't going to honor the promotions you advertise, then you really need to rethink the way you do business.

I'm glad that it worked in the end, but you shouldn't have had to work so hard and spend so much of your time.

She said they were not authorized to do that. Hmmm. Yeah you are!
