When my son was younger, he was speech delayed and he had sensory integration disorder, things that don't bother most people would bug the crap out of him and he couldn't speak to communicate what he was feeling.
One day at preschool, his class made these paper cutouts of themselves, where the teacher traces around them on rolled out paper, and then they color in the person to look like themselves. This threw him into a complete tizzy and it took the rest of the day to calm him down, the teacher felt so bad that she finished it herself and sent it home with us. It's a much better likeness than most of the 3 year olds probably brought home but it also has these insanely large and red lips that are kind of betty boop-ish. It's been hanging in our kitchen for over 10 years on the door to the basement. We have named it Paper Bob* (*not his real name, names have been changed to protect the now often annoying teenager) and it has caused us lots of enjoyment over the years because it startles people when they walk into the kitchen and the sick mofos that we are, find humor in that.
I think it's time to retire Paper Bob, but it is one of the few things from my son's childhood that I just can't bear to give up. Any suggestions on how to memorialize Paper Bob for all eternity? Could I take it some place and have the whole thing laminated?

Have it laminated !! You will want to keep this one as a reminder of some fun and not so fun times. ( and you will want to show it off at his rehearsal dinner someday). Hahaha

I guess they laminated it at school, because it came home that way. but yes I'm sure you could have it done at staples or kinkos.

Do you have a School Box store in your area? They laminate.
