Back in February I was at a weekend crop and I worked on Christmas cards. lol!! Yes, everyone there thought I was nuts. I basically made card fronts. No images yet, just cardstock and patterned paper. I made about 50 that weekend. I need to make more to finish using up the 10 6x6 paper pads I have. I plan to use some for my own cards I will send to friends & family and the rest will go to a couple places I am donating cards to for kids. But I'm tired of my Christmas stamps. I have been online for a few days looking for new ones, but don't want to spend that much. And believe it or not, nothing is interesting to me. I wish I knew people close by, who I could borrow stamps from.

That would be great to be able to borrow stamps!
There are so many nice new holiday stamps and dies from Tim Holtz, I had a really hard time deciding. I decided to go with the SSS Stamptember set, since it has a little bit of everything. There is some nice inspiration for all of it, too.
I haven't made Christmas cards for many years. We always sent out photo cards as the kids were growing up. It's time for something new and different. I'm really looking forward to it!

A 12 hours crop sounds like so much fun! I've began making my Christmas cards today and testing out some designs. I bought a bunch of the new Lawn Fawn stamp releases and I had time today to make some cards. So far, it took me only yes 3 hours to make 3 cards...hahaha. Hopefully, I will have 100 cards made by November. I also have to make cards for a craft fair.
Luckily, I found a box full of Christmas cards I already made, but they're pretty bulky to mail out.
Wished we all could trade stamp sets! It would save some money! I ended up buying some Greeting Farm Stamps as well.

Sounds like we are about the same speed I wish you lived near me, my friend has 12 hour crops 3 or 4 times a year and I love them to just sit and work on whatever!!

Wished we all could trade stamp sets! It would save some money! I ended up buying some Greeting Farm Stamps as well. Seriously!! That'd be great! I make 50ish cards and they're all the same design so once I've used a stamp, or even a die sometimes, that's about the end of it for me. Can't really use it again to send out cards again, especially since most people I send them to tell me they keep them. Trading stuff like this would be awesome! And on another note... I finally came up with an idea for my cards this year. Of course they don't include any new stamp or die I bought this year... 😳 Those supplies will have to be for next year... but this is actually a good thing because I've got a dozen ideas boiling for next year's cards already so hopefully I will be fully prepared by September 2017 to start working on them rather than stressing over them!

Well, I added ANOTHER stamp and die set for this Christmas. I recently got my Simon Says Stamp Lawn Fawn exclusive Howliday Dachshunds in and a friend sent me a penguin stamp and die set and snowflakes stamp and die set and two more Christmas stamps and snowflake border.
Which is good, the swap I'm in has I think 102 participants and I plan on sending to a few not in it because of health, moving and other things. And I send to friends and family too. If I have any left over, I know someone who works at a nursing home here.
I'd better get busy!

I started my cards at my monthly crop - and will finish them this weekend at my weekend crop. Used 2x older dies, a new to me Christmas stamp and heat embossed. Using up some DCWV glitter paper from a 5x7 stack which is great too.

I've done my cards - yay! I used a nativity die from Kaisercraft this year. I just go with one basic design each year because I'm too lazy to try and think up multiples.
