I was just reading through the responses on the other thread about Christmas cards and it got me to wondering:
How many cards do you make? How many designs do you use?
For me, I plan to make between 200 - 250 cards. Since I get bored easily, it's only 6 per design and then it's time to move on. So I'll need about 40 designs and probably have about 25 in mind already.
Your turn.

I typically make about 40 cards. Last year I participated in the 2peas christmas card exchange and did over 100 for that. I plan to participate again this year (fun!!).
As far as designs, I don't like making the same thing repeatedly, so the majority of my cards are one of a kind. There might be some similarities, but in general I don't assembly line or pre-plan other than gathering supplies (I'm well stocked with new-to-me collections this year - can't wait to play!!). I make each card one at a time and design/create as I go. I tend to do well crafting under deadline/pressure, so I won't start creating until october for the card swap and then december for our friends/family cards. I love making christmas cards!

I usually make about 20 cards per year. I do 4-6 of each design because my craft time is so limited. I also want to do the Christmas card exchange here so I'm supposed to be making cards each month. But I've been busy with other things throughout the year and I've only completed ten so far

I make about 175 or so. I'll do probably 7 or 8 designs.

I make about 50 and use the same design for all of them. It can get boring, but I like everyone to get the same card every year - and I keep one for myself to scrap.

I make 60-70. In the past a couple of times I made different designs. Not anymore. I make all the same design now. It seems to go faster for me to do it that way.

I used to make about 120 cards. All the same design, but a different design each year. I have made them for 8 years. This year I am going back to my first design. I am only going to make about 50 because the postage is getting to be too much.

I only make 30-40 cards, plus some tags. I use one design for my cards - a different one each year. I do one design so I can do a 'production line' approach. I'm sending fewer and fewer cards each year because of the increase in postage costs - and the fact that most people now just seem to do a Christmas newsletter or something else digital.

I make about 35 cards. Usually at least 3 or 4 different designs. The only people who acknowledge my handmade cards are virtual strangers (people my husband works with, mostly) so I am rethinking making them for everyone else.

I make 50 to 100 cards. Some are one of a kind, some I make 5 to 10 similar but probably not exactly alike. I have so many dies, so many stamps, so many ideas and Christmas comes only once a year!

I usually make about 100 cards. Very few are exactly the same. I will do up a batch (6 or 8) using a particular stamp or other focal, or a particular set of colours or papers, but each card will probably have some little quirk

About 175. I'll do the same general card with small variations like background paper or marker color.

I usually send out about 25 cards but I haven't made crafty Christmas cards in many years. I usually do a photo card oh my own design. But this year I've been making cards again and I have a bunch of cute Doodlebug Designs ones done (all different, but related), and I have a stash of bought cards (I got them last year on sale thinking that I was done putting effort into something no one really cared about any more), and I just bought some supplies to make cute cards... so I guess I should think about what I want to do this year. I may make a bunch of cards just for the fun of it. Thanks for the reminder to start thinking about what I want to do

200-250 cards seems like a HUGE number! You must know a lot more people than I do. Even if I sent a card to everyone I know I don't think I would hit 100

Plus a card making friend and I adopt the nursing home in our town and supply them with Christmas cards. Me, personally? I don't send out more than 6 cards.
