I don't see that she had any other choice. The DNC is trying to keep the Sanders faction from bolting. They think getting rid of Debbie will satisfy those crying foul.
Good news, though. Hillary has so much confidence in Debbie's ability to get her elected, she made Debbie the honorary chair of her campaign in all 50 states. Never let it be said that Hillary doesn't reward loyalty.

Every time I think I can't get more disappointed I this election season, something proves me wrong. Right?! Trump's big convention scandal (his wife's speech) was pretty minor in comparison to this. I wonder what's next? November is a long way away. I'm sure both sides have more to come.

Yeah, I posted earlier that she was permanently being replaced by M. Fudge from Ohio ...

If only the DNC could find a way to invoke My Little Pony of Care Bears or something

The whole f'ing system is corrupt. On both sides. No kidding. I'm about ready to give up. I'm so disillusioned that I think it was better when I was blissfully ignorant, which is up until this election cycle. What a bummer.

Trump's big convention scandal (his wife's speech) was pretty minor in comparison to this. That's why I said all the outrage was nothing more than a diversion. The Democrats are the champions of diversion.

I am completely confused. Please try to take pity on a poor Canadian.
Doesn't this stuff happen in every party? It certainly happens in all our parties here. Heck, I thought I'd seen it happening in The US in all election cycles in the past. The party brass ALWAYS has a preferred candidate. They wanted Clinton over Obama, too... the delegates had other ideas & ignored them.
You certainly can't tell me the RNC is thrilled with Trump & hasn't done everything they could to find a candidate that they deemed more suitable (i.e. electable).
Sometimes members of the party listen & end up supporting the candidate preferred by the leadership. Sometimes they don't. This time they did. I'm not seeing the outrage here.
I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk; I genuinely don't get it. All that's happened is that something that's being going on since the dawn of time finally went from being an open secret to formally confirmed, from what I can tell.
ETA: It seems my memory is faulty. While they may have wanted Clinton at the outset, I agree with the take of some in another thread on this topic that suggests Clinton 'stepped aside for the good of the party,' in exchange for support of the party brass this time. So while the brass may have initially wanted HRC, they realized, at some point, that they couldn't stop Obama & it would be foolish to try. At that point, Clinton stepped away.

Trump's big convention scandal (his wife's speech) was pretty minor in comparison to this. For me, it wasn't "just" a plagiarized speech. It was one blunder after another at the RNC that made me feel that Trump is so egotistical, I have little faith he can pick a competent administration. It's still terrible what the DNC did, especially the atheist/Jew comment. I also would not be surprised if the RNC tried and failed doing the same thing with Trump.

I don't know the full extent or effect of the situation, however, it seems to me that someone did wrong and someone paid for it. I'm sure Debbie was just a cog in the wheel of the problems but it seems she's now paying for her part. Most likely it won't be enough for republican supporters but at least some action was taken. For Donald and his transgressions though it's just doo-dee-doo-dee-doo.

It does, although they are usually much more circumspect about it. This time she got caught red handed which not only embarrasses herself but the entire party. Save

I'm beginning to clearly see the us and them struggle -- us, the people, against them, the politicians.
We people still don't agree on a direction for the country because Trump and Sanders are pretty far apart on the philosophy scale, or at least on the scale of what they are presenting. But the idea that both official parties made a play to shut them down?
Americans v Politicians: Round 1. This could go 12 rounds, folks.

Even if the DNC did favor Clinton, it didn't matter. She would have won any way. Older voters like myself are not likely to be swayed by anyone. If you want to know the truth, I believe that a lot of 08 Hillary voters decided early on to support her. Of course, that is just my opinion, based on the Hillary supporters that I have talked to.

Still waiting for Putin to release his good friend Donnie's e-mails... Why? Will that somehow justify the Democrat emails and their content? Will it make the content of the DNC "OK"?
