Great job! I love the Christmas towels!
I finished a quilt and I think I am done until fall/winter hits. I would rather be outside enjoying the sunshine while we have it.

You have those fabrics with the rows of prints?
I have always wanted to cut one apart. And I did. I am not even using templates/patterns. Just cut and sew.

Beautiful projects everyone! I too have been hibernating to avoid the heat and cranking out the quilts like there is no tomorrow! In addition to several smaller projects, I finished a quilt this weekend that I started 25 years ago! It's my oldest UFO and it is done! Woohoo! eta: trying to add a pic but it's not going well

Woohoo! ![]() That's got to be a wonderful feeling of accomplishment! I have some old projects that need finishing - or donating. Any chance you'd be willing to share a picture of your quilt? SaveFinally got the pic to post but it's huge. Still trying to get the hang of posting pics.

I finished this quilt top. It looks like it has yellow fabric, but it's mostly maroon and orange and shades of those two colors. The second photo is a tote with two pockets on each side of the f/b and a pocket on each of the two sides - really, really versatile. I used it this past week for books in each pocket. Sorry it's on its side.

Love what everyone is making. Teri I'm so jealous you can make such beautiful clothes. I don't have that talent. I just came back from a 4 day technique class with Phillipa Naylor, a lovely British quilter who taught me so much. Now to put all that knowledge to use. I forgot how to post pictures so I can't post anything else.

I love everyone's projects! I always admire quilting because it's one sewing style I just don't do. I haven't had a lot of time for sewing, but I did make a skirt for my youngest: She's my big Doctor Who fan. This is a quilting cotton from JoAnn with a muslin lining with a very full ruffle on the end. It adds fluffy goodness to the skirt.

No photos but 3 Hawaiian or aloha shirts so far, I'm making matching shirts for dh and the kids. I've done ones for the kids and need to do one for dh, if it all goes well I have about 10 shirts I want to make, so much fabric, so little time!

**GypsyGirl** she used to be a lingerie designer and showed us how to turn those tiny little strips. Not sure how to explain it. I learned to do mitered corners--correctly. Every day was something new. One thing she did say was that she uses the 60 sized needle for almost everything. And when you pull your fabric out of the machine always pull to the back. The needles are thin and bend. She makes her bindings 1/2 inch wide (normally 1/4") and hers look great and she is an multi award winning quilter. I posted pictures of some of my projects on my blog.

I'm loving sewing for me these days. I do somewhat miss the fun of costume designing and construction. Was even planning to go to Tutu School again this August, but I don't know if my hand will be ready in time, so I did not register. I don't take photos of myself, but I do have this one. This is the Essential Tank dress from Patterns for Pirates, though my hips are slim compared to the rest of me so it is not as fitted as it should be. This fabric is amazingly soft! I think I posted these in another thread. These are the leotards I made dd as a care package earlier this month. And here is my favorite of the bunch in action.
