Good morning ladies!! I hope you all had a good start to your week. It's supposed to be another hot day here. I'm heading downstairs to get my workout in early (and in the a/c). Then the kids and I are going to make the 40 min jaunt to the grocery store to pick up a few things and probably hit Target and Marshall's. I want to get a small journal to keep track of my non-cardio workouts and I've seen them at Marshall's before. I don't have too much planned beyond that. 92 for the high so I plan on doing a lot of sitting around and reading...possibly going into the pool if I get too warm. I had a good eating day yesterday until about 6pm...I was hungry and ended up eating 2 or 3 things right in a row before I stopped myself. I ended up with a little more than 1500 calories for the day so it still wasn't horrible but I hate when I do that. Thankfully, it doesn't happen all that often anymore. I hope you all have a great day!!

I've had a couple not so great days with my eating. Hopefully nothing too lasting. Like brandy327 said, sometimes I make it all day and then start snacking in the evening. I know I'm not hungry; I get bored or frustrated. I need to watch those eating triggers. I already got in my walk and a healthy/protein breakfast. Today is my grocery day and I'll be avoiding those dreaded inside aisles and sticking to proteins, fruits and veggies.

brandy327 and tuesdaysgone I am an evening snacked as well. Even if I have the calories to eat, I hate it because it is too close to bed. One week from today I will be back to work. WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! I am taking my boy to the pool today. It could possibly be our last time for the summer. On the agenda: relax, read, and nap. I will do my BBM workout when I get home. I also need to paint the laundry room. I cut it in last night, so it won't take long. Dh is on a trip right now, so I had to wait until tonight for when he is home to move the washer/dryer. I ran last night. Even though I waited until 8:30, it was still so hot and humid. I only made it two miles before throwing in the towel. Lol! I figure 2 is better than none though.

Morning! I slept in WAY late today! Yesterday was ok. Took the boys to their tutoring session and then my one twin to have his allergy shot and another appointment; got some prescriptions filled, and made an appointment for a procedure to hopefully fix my plantar fascitiis. On the way home I stopped by the grocery store to pick up some produce and dairy for the week. I had a decent breakfast, but I knew I wouldn't have time to get something between tutoring and all the afternoon appointments so I went to the local grocery store and picked up some food from the salad bar for me and a sandwich for my son. Unfortunately, by the time I was done with all the appointments, I was feeling woozy--I have hypoglycemia and I knew I was going to pass out. I managed to get a banana and some pretzels at a little shop before I started driving home and was ok until I got home and DOVE into a box of cereal. Ugh. I was so ashamed I haven't even tracked it, but I'll go back and do it today. I blame this on not being as prepared as I thought I was and my period...set to come at the end of the week. I'm trying to get it together, but I feel like I'm falling apart around 3 or 4 p.m. Ugh! Today's another day with nothing but a late afternoon speech appointment for my son. Going to get moving and have some breakfast. Have a good day everyone!

tuesdaysgone, I did my grocery shopping yesterday. It was so crowded, and I could not figure out why. Even DD commented on it. TankTop, work already? Oh dear. I am sorry! Enjoy the pool though today!! brandy327, I hope sitting and reading are on my agenda for today too. I walked 17,801 steps yesterday, and I already have 8,155 in this morning. I am dying. Why am I getting the most steps ever on the hottest days? I don't understand myself. I have tons of work to do around here but just want to crash. Hubby went back to work but he is still not feeling well. I told him to come home early but knowing him, he won't. Well, enjoy the day everyone!

Good morning all. Same here weather-wise. Hot and humid. Right now it's 82 degrees with a "feels like" of 92 and it isn't even 9:00 in the morning yet. I took the dog for a short walk this morning, at 5:30 a.m. and it was still awful. Poor dog. Now she's stretched out on the hardwood floor (cooler) sleeping and the ac is going full blast. Then I followed my son over to the car dealer so he could drop off his car for service. I let him drive me home so I could catch Pokemon on the way. hehehehe I weighed myself today and am down 1 pound from yesterday! lol. Yeah, I know day-to-day isn't reliable but still it's nice to see. It's probably because I didn't eat much dinner last night. I munched as I was fixing stuff for dd and her friends -- carrots, hummos, a few bites of lasagna, grapes. It wasn't a lot but I was full. And a victory for me that I didn't just eat later just because I hadn't had dinner. I'm trying to remind myself that if I'm not hungry I don't have to eat. Today's plan: -- make potato salad using the pressure cooker -- make pork bbq using the pressure cooker -- taste the cheesecake I made yesterday in the pressure cooker (have I mentioned how much I love my pressure cooker??? ) -- do the two things from yesterday's list that didn't get done -- the Raskog cart for the kitchen, and the entry area where the two catch-all tables are. It's amazing to me that so many of you who are teachers are going back to work so soon. Our schoosl here don't start until after Labor Day and the teachers go back the week before that. Of course we do get out much later than you all do so it evens out in the end. But I don't think I'd want to start school when it's so hot. When my kids were younger we spent the whole summer at the pool and starting school during the summer would have meant an end to those long pool days. Stay cool everyone!

I've been doing ok with my exercise, and "not as bad as before" with my food. Ha Ha, damning with faint praise. DH and I had a wonderful bike ride on Sunday, and I walk/jogged for 40 minutes yesterday (a lot more walking than jogging, but still...) My saving grace with the food is that all my favorite fruits are in season. I've had blueberries with my breakfast and the best peaches for snacks. I really love all the fresh, locally-grown produce right now. If only I could cool it with the candy.
I've had an NSV of being a lot less sore this week. My hip and my back are feeling a lot better with the increase in exercise. It makes me very happy. I do get muscle sore from the exercise, but the aches and pains have been decreasing enough to notice.

I just finished my workout for the day. Today I began adding in some lower body exercises. You'd think with all these years of carrying around the extra weight, that my lower body would be pretty strong - SO not the case. I did 3 sets of 15 squats and 2 sets of 15 donkey kicks and my legs were quivering so badly that I couldn't do anything else. Soooo I think I'm going to have to knock off a set to start with otherwise I'm not going to be able to do all the different exercises I want. I also did 35 mins walking on the treadmill. DS and one DD is up...the other DD is still in bed. So I'm in no rush to shower and get ready...which is good because I'm feeling mighty lazy. LOL

I had my doctor's appointment this morning and it was better than expected! For the next month, she is eliminating one of my blood pressure pills and we'll see how my readings are! I don't think that taking pills equals any sort of personal failure on my part, but I am so thankful that the work I have put in is having this kind of positive effect on my health. I hope that makes sense. I walked the dogs when I got home and am still doing the Zombie Run! Workouts. It is funny, though, because I see so many people I know in the neighborhood that some days my neighbors are like the zombies! I love my neighborhood, but some days I need to get my 3 miles in and get the heck home! Lol. I am usually thankful but today I wanted to get home and eat lunch.
We go on vacation over Labor Day weekend for a week and I am already planning an ice cream treat and s'mores... But until then, I want to focus on eating healthy and do the best workouts I can do. The Whole30 really refocused me on healthy weight loss. I don't think I can lose 50 pounds in the next five months, but I can move that number down so I can focus on maintenance in 2017.
I mentioned in another post that reintroduction has been sort of a mess. Our lives are crazy and I meal plan a week in advance but move those meals around a bit so that if we want to grill but my husband gets home late or it rains, etc., I have a back up. That doesn't work that great when today is corn day and the backup doesn't contain corn. So it isn't going bad-- just slow. I had black beans over the weekend which didn't agree with me (gassy) and made me super bloated. So not a life and death allergic reaction, but 100% not the way I want to feel so beans are on the list of things to eat occasionally and possibly not in polite company! Today is corn day and honestly what I wanted was cheese popcorn but I'm sticking to actual corn on the cob. I could eat a gallon of cheese popcorn and that isn't going to make anyone feel good!

Hello! I posted the other day that I have had an ongoing cough for a few months now. I went to the dr and my chest x-Ray looks clear. However, my hemoglobin is low so they want me to follow up with my pcp to see if it is due to heavy periods or something else. So, that could explain my fatigue and feeling weak at times. But now what to do about it?

That led to my decision to have the ablation procedure and things improved rapidly Sending positive thoughts your way.

Hi all!
It's an hour before my day is to be over and my desk is clear of to-do's. I can't remember the last time that happened! Yay me
My co worker and I went to Wendy's today and got their summer chicken salad for lunch. It was good but small and now I am starving. Fortunately I had some cheese and an apple in the frig or I may have had to walk to the AW Rootbeer place around the corner. That tells you how hungry I was!
I'm getting my hair cut after work but I'm hoping to workout when I get home. Today was going to be day 1 for me and BBM workout. I signed up for another 5K - this one in September. I now have one every month through the end of the year. That should keep me motivated.

Lol It's been in the 90s here and humid so I've been doing all of my workouts in my basement where it's air conditioned. While I handle the heat much better than I used to, the extreme heat still isn't my favorite.

We had my aunt's funeral today, so I had about a 6 hour gap in eating- not good. The church brought in sandwiches, so I ate the meat and cheese. Then I had cottage cheese and peanut butter for dinner- so who knows what scale will say tomorrow when I have to weigh. I did drink all day though.

I don't know if my overall blood loss is any more than what it used to be, it's just that it is all in a shorter period of time. I'm not sure how they would know if the anemia is due to the periods or something else? She mentioned possibly having an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Neither of which sound fun.
