I can't be the only one who has this issue!
I have all my Thickers neatly stored in their original packaging grouped by colour in 8 1/2 x 11 page protectors. The sit upright in an IKEA magazine holder.
Whenever I pull them out to use them I end up with random letters falling off and ending up everywhere. This weekend I did a layout where I was able to make use of about 7-8 different Z's. I was thrilled to use some of those up. However, after opening that many different packages I had Thickers everywhere...on the carpet, desk, slippers, the dog! I even found one downstairs while cleaning today.
It's very frustrating because you hate to lose any of those letters! You know you will need them eventually. No matter how tempting it is to pick that damn thing up and throw it out I can't bring myself to do it. I have to pick it up and find the pack to put it back in. I always put extra adhesive on the backs when I attach them to a layout but how do you keep them "stuck" to the packaging?

I store my thickers upright in a large drawer. I have a large collection, and from what I have noticed is the chipboard ones are the biggest offenders when it comes to falling off the backing. I do notice that having them packed together seems to help as they are not flopping all around and more prone to falling off the backing. I baby them when I do take them out and am just careful with the ones I know are prone to falling off. Unfortunately, this is just one of the PIA you have to deal with when it comes to certain thickers!

Yep, I have issues with things falling off as well and it's very annoying. Haven't found another storage solution though.

I have mine in a 12x12 album. I used page protectors and fused them in half so that 2 Thickers fit next to each other. Some of the pp have 4 total in them. I also cut open the Thickers packages on the side so they slip out horizontally rather than on the bottom. That way there is more of the package open so that any letter that falls off usually falls off in the package. It's not a perfect solution, but it works for me.
Now if I can just keep my flat paper letter stickers from flying all over the place. That would be great.

Once they are opened I put them back in the packet upside down...the bottom is closed then so it holds all the bits in.

I store mine horizontally in Iris drawers. When I am using a package and letters fall off the packaging, I just put a little adhesive on them and stick them back on. It works pretty well.
I run the letters through my Xyron when I actually use them on a layout.

I cut mine horizontally also. It is easier to remove the letters that way. I also store them horizontally too.

I thought of you all when this Thickers Storage Sleeves came up on Steals.com today. Looks like a good solution. ETA: technical issue admin, I copied this link directly from the Steals.com page. Someone mentioned when I did this before that the web address flashes "avantilink" as if I'm a paid promoter to bring traffic to the page, and that it violates forum rules. It is doing it again with this link. Can you tell me why this is happening, and if there is something I should do differently when I link to a website? Thanks!

I nearly always use extra glue to adhere thickers to my pages. Especially the chipboard ones.... foam ones seem to be stickier. As for keeping them on the backing sheets that they come on I don't have a solution there. I do however take them out of the original sleeve and put them into the slightly bigger 6x12 bags from American Crafts. They slide in and out much easier and you don't knock them off the backing sheet as easily.

I'll pay attention to that in the future. Thanks!

I have no idea if they would work (or are even cost effective), but I know the makers of pocket pages have one that looks about the same size. Wonder if that would work?

I didn't even see this post but I just bought 10 of those this morning there! I think they'll be great! ETA: I think it'll be awesome to have them all in a binder in the 12x12 format!

I just picked up a few also. They ran out last time before I could get them. My Thickers box is full, so I'm going to try this instead.

Well I grabbed some too! Plus a few more Thickers! I think I would have preferred the 6x12 but I can't find them anywhere. They would fit in my existing storage bins. But for the price I think these are worth a try.
Now the worst part .... Waiting!!

I use thesefor all my 6x12 stickers. I store them on their sides in a basket I found at hobby lobby. I really like how sheets pull out easily without any letters falling off. I also really like that it's open at the top so sheets that are just a bit longer (I'm looking at you Doodlebug!) still fit.

Amazon has the 12x12 version of the thickers sleeves. It's just like what I use, but you don't have to hassle with a fuse or sewing machine.

I store mine horizontally and find that helps! I used to have them vertically and that's when I found they would fall off, especially the chipboard ones!!

I run the letters through my Xyron when I actually use them on a layout. Missed this thread the first time around. But this is a great idea.

If you use an embossing tool to run around the edges of the letters before you peal apart the layers, you will have no glue blobs. I learned that from another Pea years ago.
