I like the products from the Honest Company and keep seeing ads for a free trial of Honest Beauty products. Has anyone tried these? If so, did you like them? Which products do you use?

I refuse to purchase anything from Honest. They seem to have a problem with actual honesty; there have been several issues with their products not being what they claim to be.

Do you have sources or examples? I typically buy the products that have good ratings on EWG but I am not sure if the honest beauty products are on there yet.

Although I am not familiar with the products at all, when a company uses a term like honesty in their name I am instantly skeptical. If you have to tell me you're honest instead of just, ya know, just being honest I cant believe their claims. lol. It's funny how that can work, eh?

I'm on my phone but I'll provide some later. There have been issues with their sunscreen and recalls on a few of their products you should be able to find through Google. Most recently, I was researching prenatal vitamins and theirs seem not to include the ingredients they claim they do. Check out the Amazon reviews for Honest prenatals.

Ok, thanks. The sunscreen has good ratings on ewg. I wonder if they have changed the formulation?

I bought some body lotion. It is light and non greasy and I don't feel icky when I have it on.

I looked at Honest products (specifically beauty products) awhile back and there were definitely some red flags re: ingredients in some of products that are restricted in Canada. Not all of their products are toxin free and I would definitely think twice.
Edited: I also recall the sunscreen having a big issue...and something else from the baby care line (though I dont recall what exactly).

Here are links to a couple of sources with information about some of the accusations against The Honest Company: Lawsuits against HonestMore InfoIt seems like most of the accusations against Honest involve deceptive advertising and labeling. I do not buy anything from this brand because I don't believe they're trustworthy.

Another board I'm on repeatedly shows how the EWG generally promotes who pays for ratings. I haven't dug into it much, but if you cite the EWG you are basically ignored
