throw in a couple of denture cleaning tabs and the fizziness will clean out the stains and dirt from the nooks and crannies. wait till all the fizzing stops, let it sit for a few more minutes then rinse and dry. Oh, that's a great idea. I clean my straw by putting disposable straws inside of it and running them through; the disposables come out with gunk and I just use a couple of straws until they come out clean. Your idea is much better and probably gets it a whole lot cleaner! When I put it in the dishwasher, I just reverse the straw so it hangs down from the lid and gets a run through the dishwasher that way.

I take. My fancy coffee mugs. Once a week and soak on vinegar water. That would work with straws I think

I just bought a brush cleaning set this week, too! I had no idea they existed til I searched for straw cleaners randomly lol. The brand I bought was Contigo and it works well. Got it on Amazon.

I always toss the straws and buy disposable ones. Dirty straws skeeve me out! I just started doing this as well.

Ooohhh....I am going to have to get one of those. I've been using disposable straws but I prefer the original ones.
