Good morning ladies!! I hope you're all doing well this morning! I had another sleepless night. I'm tired and cranky and it's supposed to be 90+ yet again today. Good news though, my thighs don't hurt as much as yesterday. I may go ahead and give my lower body exercises a try and see how it goes. Today the kids want to go to the library so we'll do that after I work out and shower. The house is in good shape so not a lot to do around here. So I have no idea what the rest of the day will bring. I have a bunch of stuff on my to-do list but I may or may not do stuff. LOL I hope you all have a successful day!!

Yay me, I'll get into this thread early today. I have only a few things on my list for today: -- walk the dog -- DONE, and as usual it's stinking hot out there. -- take dd to the dentist -- leaving in 15 minutes -- catch a few Pokemon while waiting for her at the dentist. -- take a nap so I can recover from being up so late last night listening to President Obama, and so I can be prepared to stay up late tonight listing to Hillary Clinton. -- PUT TOGETHER THE RASKOG CART! -- seriously, today is the last day, I'm not moving it to one more list. I will post a photo at the end of the day to prove I did it! -- exercise...well forget it. It's too hot, I know I won't go to the gym, and I'm not doing a dvd with dd home to watch. I need to pull the curtains and be alone for that. brandy327 I'm impressed that you always do that first thing. Wish I could develop that habit. How long did it take you to get into that routine?

I look forward to seeing the cart photos. I've been working out on and off for 13 years and I've always found it's easier to do my workouts in the morning vs later in the day. Later in the day I'm prone to excuses and having the lack of sleep catch up to me. I've been serious about working out in the mornings since January. And now, it's the first thing I do...I prefer to just get it done and out of the way for the day. And on the rare occasion that dh gets home earlier enough and he wants to go for a walk, then I get 2 workouts in.

I wish my period would just hurry up and get here! Ugh! I'm feeling so bloated! My diet has been ok...not 100% clean and fabulous, but pretty good. I had a small child's ice cream cup yesterday when I took the kids for ice cream with friends. It was good and it was satisfying. I actually ended up eating less than my allotted SmartPoints for the day. I've talked with my podiatrist and he recommends to cut back on the exercise to keep my foot healing. My plantar fascitiius is killing my attempts to get moving as I'm in pain for days when I do anything half-way strenuous. I go for my procedure on Sept 22. I'm hoping I can resume shortly afterwards...I really miss my walks! I have to figure out what I can do in the meantime without hurting my foot worse. On today's agenda: get dd to math tutoring. The boys have are going to spend time with a friend from baseball. She's as sweet as they come--they will either go swimming and/or go to the batting cages. I'm going to get some work done for school. Maybe I'll even get my dresser cleaned out! Dinner...no idea. Dh is home today because our stove's electrical panel went "poof" on Tuesday. Like sparks flying and a sizzling sound coming from the back. Scared me to death! Thankfully the stove top works, but the oven I haven't attempted to use after seeing all the crazy sparking! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies!
We were supposed to head to a huge amusement park today, but there is a 90% chance of rain there today. We moved it to Sunday.
I still let the kids have their friends spend the night. We are going to try for the pool if the rain doesn't move our way.
I need to do my BBM today. If we don't make it to the pool I plan to start painting the den. Or just sit around and read. Lol!

Hi healthy folk! I did a 30 minute Adrienne yoga video yesterday. Fortunately, I pick an easy stretchy one and it felt really good. Then I did day 1 of the Bikini Mommy 4.0 challenge. It was super hard for me, thankfully it was short. Let's just say that the fitness test shows that I am not fit in any way. I need to work on the exercises -- I think I was doing them all wrong because everything bothered my knees. I'll give it a few more tries to see if I can modify well enough. She was going a little fast for me, but it was supposed to be a fast fitness test. My eating was a little bit better yesterday. I thought I was going out to lunch with my mom, but she was too tired after her doctor appt. This morning my husband asked to have grilled chicken on a salad. He's the one whose favorite food is meatloaf and mashed potatoes and more mashed potatoes. Maybe I'm having an influence on him. Today I'm working at home. It's kind of noisy because we're having some landscaping done, and there's a troop of workers digging and planting in my front yard. I have two projects to finish up today -- totally doable. missfrenchjessica Hope your plantar fascitiius improves -- I had that and it was awful. It's so hard to accomplish anything when every step you take hurts. monklady123 I love my raskog cart in my scraproom. I even went back and got a second. We use it as a side table on the porch. I have plants in the bottom of it, and the top holds my coffee. And I can move it around to any of the three chairs out there.

Good morning ladies!
I just got home from completing my C2whateverK run. I think I did a little better today even though my calves feel a little sore right now.
Next on the agenda is a shower and maybe some breakfast. After that, SO and I head to the title company to close on our house!! YAY! We're really excited! Of course we're not so excited to move all of our junk, but at least it is just a move across town and not across several states.
I hope you all have an AMAZING day!

Workout done! I did manage to do my lower body workout. When I put together my little workout tracking journal, I wrote down the exercises I wanted to do with how many reps/sets I wanted to attempt. I was pretty spot on with what I thought I'd reasonably be able to do...there were 2 of the 8 that I couldn't complete fully. I was close to completing on one and only half able to complete the second. My legs are a bit wobbly/jelly like but hopefully they'll regain their strength here in a bit. I also did 40 mins walking on the treadmill for some cardio. Workout done for the day!!

I'm going to check out this store today - sugarlessdelite.com/. Honestly a lot of what they sell is probably "junk" food that I don't need, but it is nice to have some low-carb bread and dessert options for times that you really just want that. I cannot believe I haven't run across them before, since they are local to me! It's a legit full-service bakery, they make custom cakes etc -- and also have a shop with lots of packaged items you can buy, including brands I've heard of but never found in a store. I'm generally not a big fan of "net cards" versus total carbs, but they should still have lots of good choices. It's always interesting to shop at a grocery store outside your norm and see what you run across. Sprouts has quite a few good options too - I guess their chicken sausages at the deli counter are made with all breast meat and quite low in calories/high in protein.

Good Morning Girls!
Great job brandy327!
AN I have been making "protein pudding" to satisfy my sweet tooth. I use 2 c heavy cream, any sugar-free instant pudding, and a scoop of protein powder. Just whisk it until it becomes very thick. I know the heavy cream has fat, but it's a healthy fat. And I know the sugar-free pudding has artificial junk, but I figure a little won't hurt. I experimented last week and ate the entire 2 c- a little everyday. I actually lost 2 lbs and it is VERY filling with the protein powder. Oh and the chocolate is the best!
My carbs are VERY limited, so I need a little fat in my diet- at least that's what I tell myself.
Back and shoulders for me today-won't be too bad. Lean ground beef patty and veggies for dinner.

Looks like an interesting place to check out!! The sugarless stuff though - last night my dh sent me a link to a review of a 5lb bag of Haribo Sugarless Gummy Bears from Amazon and O M G, the reviews. Apparently it has some, uh, rather unappealing bowel side effects. The reviews were hilarious, although a bit scary. LOL

Good morning, everyone! I had a good eating day again yesterday but for some reason am struggling to get back to the workouts. I got behind when we were at the hotel for the tournament and haven't picked back up again. I think partly because I need to start the 3rd phase and it sounds really challenging. I have really not liked the cardio workouts for the whole BBM 5.0 challenge and it sounds like this is more of that. Probably good for me, but a little scary as well. I am expecting my period any time now. When it starts I need to call to schedule an ultrasound to see if I have fibroids or some other uterine issue as well as the blood work, apparently to see why I am anemic. I have also requested a celiac test so hopefully they will do that. I am not overly concerned about it but after doing some reading, I do have some of the characteristics/symptoms. Still no answers on why I have this chronic cough, though. I thought someone from the allergy clinic would have called by now, but I may have to call them instead.

Morning! Off to drop DD to her dad but I wanted to leave the link to starting strength training. It does not give specific movements, but rather some really good foundational concepts to think about as you start. Steph is one of my all time favorite bloggers--she really knows her stuff. She's also behind the recipes for Stupid Easy Paleo. #girlcrush I'll check back in later! brandy327 here you go! stephgaudreau.com/start-strength-training/

I need to do my BBM today. I started BBM yesterday. I started with her 2.0 challenge and it's pretty easy but I have no ability to plank or do push ups so that portion of the work out was taxing for me. Are all the challenges set up like the 2.0?
I need to get back to eating eggs for breakfast. I haven't been this week and dang I'm starving by 10am. When I eat eggs I stay full until lunch but today I just had to go eat part of my lunch. That's not good at all!
Running this afternoon when I get home. It's 111 today so it's a treadmill run. I'm taking tomorrow off to do some school shopping with DS. He is going to be a sophomore this year - he is growing up way too fast for my liking.

I am sure you are going to kick me out of this group. I did lose another pound so I am happy with that. I am down 19 now which is nothing to sneeze at. My jeans are too big in the waist but still fit in the legs. I just want them to be big all over so I can go buy some new ones! But might not be for a few more weeks. My workout time is in the evening and I can't do it. I want to go workout but I just don't have the get up and do it. Going to work is fine. Going to the gym is just not happening. I need BFF to nag me to go. I work on a nagging system and need someone to tell me to go and do it. ETA BFF is going to start nagging me and I will set my alarm to make me go. I am also going to try to go in the AM before I go to work. I will see how I do.
