I don't know if they are in style or not, but I wish I could figure out a way to make my ponytail look cute and put together rather than like I am ready to go to the gym. Does anyone have tips for that?! Lol The Small Things Blog had a great tutorial where I learned to make a good ponytail. You can see it HERE. Her hair looks great, but how long did it take her to do it even before she put it in the ponytail??

I have these little mini ones, too. I use them around the house cleaning or gardening. They work so well. I have a hard hard time wearing them out in public though. I'm not sure why, but they just don't feel very stylish. Lol! It ends up looking like this: View AttachmentYes, that's exactly how I wear them. *shrug* I think it looks cute. The little claw one usually works, but when my hair gets past a certain length I have to use the bigger one. I don't remember how I wore my hair to my mom's funeral, but I would hope no one was judging me for it.

I have tiny ones I wear in my hair. I have worn them for so many years I didn't know they were not in style at any time.

I have really long thick curly hair. Not only do I wear them, I twist my hair, clip it up and let it fly all messy. I don't see a problem going out that way either.
It let's me get all of my hair up without the weight pulling at the top of my head.
Plus, my husband thinks it's super cute that way.

Well thanks to this thread I got distracted by those clips throughout the Jadon Bourne movie. It did get me wondering why she couldn't something, anything, else to clip her hair.
Eta: I do wear the little ones when my bangs get too long and it's too hot to wear them down. I use the medium ones to clip back my hair when I wash my face.

Wear them every single day, at home and out in public to work and run errands. Even in the winter, I am always hot or having a hot flash. I don't even bother doing my hair these days. Even if I blow dry and curl, it will be up on a clip before lunch. I just comb it out, put it in a clip, and go.

I mean, I probably wouldn't have even noticed if it was one scene, or maybe even two...but the whole daggum movie?? Did you like the movie otherwise?

I noticed it, too, anxiousmom. (if I ever visit my relatives in Florida, we got to meet up for a movie). don't use them myself. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it takes five minutes, tops, before they fall out of my hair.

DH and I were in Vegas on the night they filmed the chase scenes on the Strip. I don't know why some people (not here) are criticizing Matt Damon's lack of speech in the movie. People are saying he only had 45 lines. I don't think he needed to say much. "Jason Bourne" was pissed at the people behind Treadstone, tired of running, tired of fighting, questioning a lot of things.....his emotions made up for his lack of speech.

Too old for plastic? Who comes up with this stuff???
I like the small ones once in awhile, when I have to pull it back. I, unfortunately, have super fine hair, and almost all clips/barrettes/etc., just fall right out of my hair usually.

I noticed the clip right away in the movie too! LOL! I thought to myself that all of the fashion people say those clips are out of style and yet here they are in a big movie. And, then I wondered if I was the only one who would think such a thing! LOL! I wear them often but I don't really care if I'm in style or not! A lot of things don't hold my hair and these do.

Sometimes in the middle Of the day at work I might throw my hair up in one of its bothering me. And it's my go to hairstyle for funerals. Jk- but that was odd.

I wear one like this every day. I hate my hair on my neck when it's hot but I also hate headbands so I don't want to cut it short (and don't want a boy cut or whatever they're called). I put my hair in a low ponytail and clip it up with one of these.

I thought the exact same thing while watching the movie! What the heck is up with the hair clip??

HA! I just saw Jason Bourne last night, and the hair clip bugged me, too! It just seemed so dated and was definitely too big for her hair. I thought it was a weird styling choice. I used to wear those clips a lot in the 90s. The little ones don't bug me much but the big, obvious ones make me cringe.
ETA: I think it's a matter of how much hair you have. In the movie, the clip seemed out of proportion to her head/hair.

Well...I am awfully glad to hear that I am not the only one who noticed the clip. I mentioned the clip to my son afterwards and he looked at me like I lost my mind.
