and mine won't be delivered until 8/2!  went to Walmart for groceries this morning and the damn thing was sitting right there! I swear the last time I ordered a heavily anticipated book (I believe it was book 4 of the Twilight series, ROFL), I had that sucker SUNDAY MORNING of it's release. My friend ordered hers from Walmart and it didn't get delivered a day or two later. Good thing I still have a couple more episodes of Stranger Things to keep me occupied! |

I was at Costco (in Canada) this morning and they had stacks! Not a single soul looking at them when I went by.
( someday I hope to start the series...so many book, so little time!)

I had that happen to let on another book. I learned that I could go to the grocery store and buy it at 12:01. No lines, 10% off. Easy peasy.
I emailed amazon and they said they hadon't to wait for it to release to ship it. I called bullshit because I had gotten other books on their release date. For deathly hallows I didn't take the chance and dh went and bought it at the grocery store.

I'm in the UK and Amazon delivered at lunchtime. DD has read about 2/3rds so far and that includes stopping to eat.  |

I did the Amazion Prime Now - if you ordered between 9:45 and 12:00 last night it would be delivered by 2;00. The only catch was your order needed to be over $20. I threw in the Bounce dryer sheets that I had run out of earlier in the day and poof - it was there by 12:45am

DD bought a totally random selection of stuff to make her order up to £20. Brie, parcel tape, a Lego mini figure, popcorn, Skittles, and other bizarre unconnected stuff.  |
