Last fall and winter and even into this spring every time there was a low pressure system over the Great Lakes we froze. They blamed it on the Polar Vortex....so now there is a low pressure system in place and it is sweltering. I am not in need of a "The Day After Tomorrow" type event just a little relief from this sweltering heat...

Amen, sister! I would take -10 degrees over the heat and humidity we've had this summer in Minneapolis.
Poor DH wears flannel and sits under his electric blanket in the evening, because I have't turned the A/C off in weeks. To be fair, it's the Plavix that makes him cold, not living with a 50 something wife.

It's been HOT and humid here. We've had many consecutive days in the 90's and it's been mid-to-high 80's for over a month! And hardly any rain at all.  Work is hot, hot, hot -and when I get home it's cooler showers, AC, and sometimes the fans going too! |

98 feels like 110 here today...and it's been like this almost every day in June and July...not looking forward to August (historically the hottest month here)

I would be perfectly happy never to hear those two words ever again. Two horrible, cold, snowy winters in a row from them plus two cold, rainy summer's. No thank you, I will take thks normal, hot summer any time.
