Did Dunkin' Donuts run them out of town? We still have Krispy Kreme down near Park Meadows but I never go there. My daughter used to ask her boyfriend to drive her to the Springs just to get DD. We now have several in Denver, one about 2 miles form the house. We also have Voodoo, Fractured Prune and some other gourmet type shops. Seldom do I want a donut but the other day I was like femalebusiness and was craving one but unlike her, I gave in. It was ok, too sweet and not as enjoyable as I thought it would be. I would have been happier with some Chipotle tortilla chips (no guac). We have a few DD in town. The chocolate cake with chocolate frosting donuts are my favorite. I was surprised that KC closed, but I can't blame DD. They never seem to have the business. Do you have and Amy's Donuts? They are pretty popular here. And the salty chips at Chipotle are the best. I like a good cake donut but I don't think I have ever tried the chocolate on choclate one though that is the most common cake that I make. My daughter stalks DD for the Butternut donuts and I like (shhhh...) the powdered vanilla with vanilla creme filling. Truthfully, i like half of one of those sweet treats. We do not have any Amy's here but if I tell my daughter Amy, we will HAVE to stop the next time we are in the Springs. Glad you can appreciate the Chipotle chips too. And what is it, a slight taste of lime that justs make them perfect. My kids know that I cannot turn down those chips EVER. |

I am addicted to KK glazed - the original glazed and the glazed raspberry. I prefer them to the sugared ones. I have to shut my eyes as I walk past the displays, which are always near the entrance! One of those with a 'nice cuppa tea' are heaven!

the last time i remember a title of 'crap crap crap' someone was pregnant! gina Can't remember her pea name, but she was a blonde, Mormon, high school art teacher, already had a son and daughter. New baby was a boy!! In fact I can't believe I remember this at all!! |

It has been about three years since I've eaten a donut and I want donuts. I don't want a couple of donuts, I want a couple of dozen. I want chocolate cake with chocolate icing, glazed, maple bars, cinnamon rolls, white cake with pink frosting and sprinkles. I want to just sit with a big box of them and eat them all. I have been wanting to eat donuts for at least six weeks. I have resisted thinking the craving would pass but it has lasted for SIX weeks. I'm not going to give into the damned craving but I just wish it would go away... Crap, I thought I would feel better if I wrote that all out but now I just want donuts MORE. Life is short. Eat the donut. Could not agree more! Just get one, or two if you think one won't cut it. You don't have to get crazy, but it's okay to treat yo self a little. |
