I do not care for black licorice. Twizzlers are okay but if given the chance, I would take Red Vines. Twizzlers are a little too sweet for me.

Red Vines!! I even live in the town Twizzlers used to be made, before they moved to Mexico.

It's Twizzlers all the way for me, too. (but cherry nibs are the absolute BEST, in my opinion... now I want some!) I love Nibs too!

Red Vines taste like Red Vines. In other words: perfection. I think Twizzlers are waxy with a weird texture. Now I have to go to the store for Red Vines. Thanks. (Ok, so I really had to go already for chocolate for band bake sale cakes, but there will be Red Vines in my cart now.) Yes, Red Vines are nice and soft and melt in your mouth. Twizzlers are thick and waxy and chewy. We just had fresh Red Vines yesterday on the drive home!

They're both pretty gross, but I'll take Red Vines over Twizzlers any day. Yes, Red Vines are kind of waxy but Twizzlers taste like some bizarre chemical concoction (which, let's be honest, they both are - the Twizzlers just taste more like it).

Forget about the Red Vines vs. Twizzlers debate; old-fashioned anise drops (hard candies) are the BEST licorice candy. (separate from Cherry Nibs, of course... lol!)

I don't eat that stuff (I don't like any gummy-type candy) but my son insists it's Red Vines all the way.

blech!! I am so sorry for you! I think the love for Red Vines is a regional thing, sort of like In and Out Burger. It's Twizzlers all the way for me, too. (but cherry nibs are the absolute BEST, in my opinion... now I want some!) ETA: I do LOVE black jellybeans, but black licorice? ick! And in my opinion, ANY licorice / vines / whatever are ALWAYS better when they're soft and fresh. YES! Cherry nibs are the best! But I also really like Wiley Wallaby Aussie style licorice. The red flavor is great, but they als ohave neat flavors like watermelon, green apple, etc.

Red vines. Hands down.
Unless I am in a training, then the peel apart kind I can make shapes and words with while ignoring the training

Red Vines - grew up in California And one of the best things to do with Red Vines is to bite the ends off and use one as a straw for drinking your Diet Coke (used to be TAB). It gets all cold and hard. YUM! I did (do) it with Dr Pepper

There is a time and a place for both. Red Vines and Fanta Red Cream Soda are for the movie theater and camping. Twizzlers are for everything else.

I ❤️ Licorice! My vote goes to Twizzlers. I actually prefer them a little on the stale side or refrigerated for extra bite. Super fresh doesn't cut it for me. I will occasionally have red vines and I do like the texture. I Also love a good shoestring licorice.

Twizzlers!!!!! and only the regular red kind, not the other flavors, not the pull-apart kind, not the nibs.
These are a family staple on every road trip. Sometimes the word "road trip" is used liberally and we aren't really going very far. . .

I shall endeavor to remember the name of that candy (Aussie Wallaby should be memorable enough, hopefully-lol!) for the next time we get to the Rocket Fizz candy store-- they have all sorts of foreign candy-- from England, and other places.

Can I just say that I love that there is a softer, gentler thread debating the merits of licorice that I can come home to after being in the trenches of the political threads.
