Thankfully people are out there who haven't had their hearts hardened by this crazy world. I hope the suicidal women has continued support by the community and professionals.
I do think it is strange and incredibly sad that someone, who is trying to help, would think to pull out their phone to record a person who could possibly be falling to their death.

Wow, I'm so glad all those people stopped and helped. Hopefully the message to the woman is powerful enough to show her her worth so she won't attempt suicide again.

With all of the negative in the world; it is wonderful to see that there are people who take time out of their lives to help someone without expecting something in return. Sweet humanity.

I'm in tears. The power of love always does that. People are good, they really are.

That brought tears to my eyes. Made me so sad to read that this young woman wanted to take her own life because she (thinks?) her mom doesn't love or care for her. Glad there were caring people nearby to stop her.

That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing it.
I don't think it's sad or strange at all. She was recording a group of strangers trying to prevent someone from falling to their death. She was recording the good. Her fervent prayers show that she was hoping their would be no tragedy. Her call to the police shows that she had done what she could to help this woman. By the time the recording started, much of what was relaying in the article had already happened. She was just recording the tail end of it. So she may have done quite a bit to help by then and stepped back to let others help at that point whole she took the opportunity to show the world, and perhaps at some point, the suicidal woman, that there is good in the world and that people felt that the woman's life had value--that she brought something to the world that shouldn't be lost.
I hope someday the suicidal woman will be in a much better place and when and if that happens perhaps she can view that video and see how strangers offered her their love and support that day. It's a powerful thing to witness, particularly if you were at one time someone who felt that your life wasn't worth continuing.
