Do you hear the angels singing?!
It's only been sitting in my kitchen for the past month while the gas company and the appliance installers argued over who did what. Then I threw an absolute temper tantrum and used swear words to the manager and my DH followed up with a "help me-my wife is really upset" call...and voila! Peace was restored in all the land.
So what should I know about cooking with gas? How about convection?
And really...WHAT SHOULD I MAKE FIRST?! (Nothing that resembles restaurant food please.)

I've always had a gas stove. I was really unhappy when we moved here to PA to find that there was no gas hookup to the stove, and the house came with a electric stove (brand new, but I wanted gas).
I got the builder to install a line to the propane tank in exchange for that electric stove, and I bought myself a pretty new gas oven.
I think you should make a lasagna or stuffed shells in your new oven, regardless of how hot it is outside!
I rarely use the convection feature, only when baking cookies and even then I can take it or leave it.
