Yesterday was junk food, today healthy foods. As in, I am trying to eat healthy, but have to eat fast food sometimes. What are your healthy fast food or quick (take with you) foods?

Chick Fil A and Wendy's both have good salads.

I usually try for the salads, but don't use dressing. Avoid any crispy toppings on the salad. Sometimes I ask for salsa instead for the dressing. I don't eat fast food anymore, other than Panera and Chipolte. So it's frustrating at times when I'm out runnings errands all day and I con't have options to eat at because of all the fast food out there.

Chick-fil-a is about the only fast food restaurant I go to. They have great salads and grilled chicken nuggets. If you're just looking for a snack, the grilled nuggets are a great choice and you can order them as a side.

You have to be so careful with salads. Some of them have more calories then regular food. I like Chick Fillets nuggest (not grilled) they are 8 for 270 ( I think) Calories. Not bad in my book.
other fastfood places I stay away from.

I'll sometimes get a salad from Subway, dressing on the side. I like that you can customize it.
Egg McMuffins aren't too bad, and they come with a whole wheat muffin now.

There was a specific diet I was doing once, and could only get these fast food items: Wendy's: chili beans, no cheese Mcdonalds: double hamburger, no cheese, no sauce Jack in the box: chicken pita. If breakfast, I could get a breakfast jack and remove one side of bun.

I like the grilled chicken sandwich from Wendy's. I really like Panera's salads as well.

Salads with dressing on the side and then I use my own light or fat free dressing. Some dressings are super high in calories/fat/points. I have apps that have the WW points and some that have the calories and fats of menu items at restaurants and I refer to that any time that I am going to eat out. You can also go to their websites and see the nutritional information before you go.

McDonalds side salad with a side of grilled chicken and Newman's balsamic dressing. It's 4 WW points AND it's only about $3.
It's my go-to meal if I have to lunch out.

How healthy is healthy to you? There is literally nothing to eat at fast food restaurants if you truly want to sidestep most issues. For instance, salads usually have preservatives and all the dressings are just soy and sugar. There really aren't any restaurants that don't add unnecessary things to their foods. Everything seems to be cooked in soy. Panera adds sugar to their chicken.
I used to practically live on fast food (don't shoot me-I've changed my ways LOL), when I first tried to be healthier, I'd go for Chick Fil A with no bread and their fruit bowl, Panera's steak breakfast bowl with no pesto, and the "cleanest" salads I could find without dressing, croutons, etc. When I took it a little further, I found it next to impossible to eat the way I wanted to and I just started carrying food with me that I will eat. I used to think it took more time, but it doesn't. I keep veggies, fruit and protein ready to go in my fridge, so it has gotten to the point, it is just grab and go. There are lots of options when it comes to lunch bags and small coolers.

About the only places that we eat "fast food" are Panera and Chipotle. I usually try to get a salad with dressing on the side or something from the power menu at Panera. I do like their breakfast power sandwich too. At Chipotle, I eat the chicken burrito bowl most often.

I like the 6 inch turkey sandwich at Subway. I only top it with lettuce, green pepper and yellow mustard, so no high fat toppings. It's really not too bad for you calorie/fat-wise and I feel pretty full when I am done eating it. Their veggie sandwich looks like it would be good too.

DQ's oriental chicken salad is great. I just use a small amount of the dressing.

I agree with so many who have said it's really hard to find good-real-food at any fast food place - especially if you are looking for a salad with multiple vegetables!!!! so many salads are just protein, cheese, yucky tomatoes and croutons. I used to choose Panera years ago but even their salads are poor on the veggie toppings.
my usual picks:
Subway veggie salad - I get every topping...although am slightly creeped out by the fact that their veggies get shipped in already sliced in a plastic bag, which probably means they preserve them - I so wish they were fresh and chopped in the back
Chipotle bowl or salad is my favorite - everything customized and the freshest you can get!
Chick fil a side salad and the chicken breast sandwich with everything but the bun chopped up on top of it
Five guys - burger with all the toppings no bun style, ask for extra lettuce and it makes a great salad!

Chipotle is our favorite. I usually get one crunchy taco, and then fill it with every topping I can, including extra lettuce, then because it's overflowing the shell, I crunch it all up in the basket and make my own little taco salad. It's way cheaper than a bowl, albeit smaller, but it's plenty for me and it definitely fills me up. Sometimes my daughter and I split an order of three tacos and she takes her two in a separate basket.
Subway has the chopped salad option, and we always use oil and vinegar and avoid the creamy dressings. Load up on the veggies.
We have a Noodles & Company here, another favorite, and we order the dishes with rice noodles quite a bit. They grill their chicken there and will give you extra veggies if you ask.

Thanks for bumping this back up. I noticed my junk food thread got a lot more responses than the healthy fast food thread!

We are low carb, so we actually find it pretty easy to eat out. Hamburger/cheeseburger no bun extra lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles. Grilled chicken sandwich same deal. Side salad if it's available. Unsweet tea. Good to go!
Boston market, chipotle, subway all have good low carb choices.
We eat out often and have little trouble with fast food or sit-down, although I do prefer Five guys for a burger for sure.
I did ask for a sausage egg and cheese biscuit without the biscuit, at a small town Hardee's, and the person serving us looked at me like I had three heads. "You want the what now???"

Mostly the only fast food place I eat at is Wendy's because there's one right across the street from my church. When we have our once-a-month meeting of the Session (church council/vestry/whatever your denomination calls it) several of us might go there to pick something up. I like Wendy's because they have a fryer dedicated to their french fries so i don't have to worry about gluten. Yes, I know you asked about healthy fast food choices, but I only get them once a month so I don't care how many calories they are. Otherwise, I get their chili, or a plain hamburger with lettuce and tomato. I ask for it without the bun, obviously, so that decreases the calories.

If I am out running around there is always a grocery store of some kind or another that I will go past. Instead of driving by, I run in grab a banana (no need to wash) and some kind of protein and a bottle of water. Peanut butter, sliced deli meat (if the line is short), etc.
My favorite is... Publix makes whole subs for $6.39 or halves for around $5 and they are real food. Aka whole wheat bread, roast beef, skip the cheese or not, and veggies of your choice - lettuce, tomato, green peppers, spinach, cucumber, etc top with a bit of spicy mustard and no mayo and no oil and vinegar. YUM! Mostly healthy and minimal guilt.

Baked potato and small Chili from Wendy's The salad with grilled but not battered chicken and minimal dressing Greek yogurt and fruit Some of the Bistro Boxes from Starbucks
I always carry fruit, cut up veggies and protein bars with me when I am out and about. I keep a case of bottled water with me too. Just put one in the back of my vehicle and I have water if I need it.

this is good! We are going on a road trip in a couple of days, and I didn't know some of the tricks people use. I was very aware of the salad dressings being unhealthy (thanks to WW's)
No Chick-Fil-A around here, and we don't patronize them anyway.
We like the Chipolte bowls. yum!
