So, I messed up this week! I've been scrapping forever and recently decided I would get some circle punches instead of relying on my Cricut George cartridge. I was positive that old EK Success mini circle lever punch was smaller than 1/2". I bought a new EK Success 1/2" punch and compared the two. I have 2 of the same punch. I was so annoyed. I got some label stickers and put the correct size on each punch, that are not marked like the new one.

Buying a house to fit your craft supplies...yeah, that is a bit much. Not weird at all. I have dreams of moving from my area. I want an older house with lots of bedrooms. No open concept. I want to close doors! The extra bedrooms would be the library room, play room, home/craft room, scrapbook room, my own bedroom (snoring husband!),.... Not that I could technically afford one, but I'd be willing to deal with ugly outdated decor to get my separate spaces. ETA: With this post, I'm a revolutionary pea at 1776! Thanks admin !

When you just can't face moving because it would mean packing up the same stash you moved three years ago and that has tripled in size since then.

^^^ Cry me a river, amblet. (We are BFFs) and I have more stuff than she does. Tons more "stuff" and you never got Quickutz which take up a lot of real estate as do Cricut Cartridges. They are located in the new blue room closet if you ever go looking for them. The Cricut is out in the garage in a pink box. You need an X-acto knife to open it as it is still NiB. Just so you know it's there for your usage and entertainment. No comments on how come the Cricut is still new. Stuff happens.

It happened in December 2014! I redid my craft room and when I moved only the stuff I wanted to keep back into my new organized system, I still had a mountain of stuff in the sunroom where I had temporary moved my craft stuff. It was eye opening to realize I had a mini shop of unwanted stuff! I eventually gave and sold it all.

When I was looking for my new townhouse. I told my realtor that a craft space was a must. I had a lot of requirements too. We looked at many houses but I purchased my townhouse because it had a 16x16 room with a Pergo floor, close to a sink and in the basement so no one could see my mess. Buying a house to fit your craft supplies...yeah, that is a bit much. Ha ha ha, are you my twin sister?!? I did the same thing! I have a WHOLE huge basement, except for a large unfinished utility room that holds the boiler, hot water heater and well tank--and even that room is full of my packed boxes of stamps I haven't had the time to go through yet. The best part is my DH loves it too. Loves not looking at my crap all over the rest of the house, that is!

For me it was finding a duplicate.
And I'm not even clicking on that link. I think I would be too depressed to find out how long I could scrap w/just what I already own. I'm guessing it would be past the time I'm in my coffin . . .
I do like the idea of 'paying' yourself a dollar every time you use a tool to see if you get your money's worth. Even if you don't use real money (a check system, even), it would definitely make me think twice before buying another tool, stamp set. etc.

I would never buy a house that I didn't have a space for my scrapbooking. I wish I had your room!

Now I really think about what exactly I would use something for specifically instead of just getting something because I think it might be cool to have. (I will say I still have a weakness for thin dies though!)

(I will say I still have a weakness for thin dies though!) I love tools! I spent a couple of years not buying *any* but I still love them. I just got 2 new paper trimmers recently and they cut like a dream. I don't have tons of punches, but I do have lots. I have a good selection of dies and stamps to match. I love them. I have 3 or 4 die cutting systems as well as a Cricut and Silhouette. I think I am good for both of those now, too. I have the best multi purpose tools out there. People steal my tools (the people I am related to) and then hide them. I have no scissors down in my scrap space even though I know there are about 15 pairs of them. Hmm. Who does that? I have plenty of paper but I am all about the fanciest tools!

I have about 15 pairs of scissors too because I never could find a *good* pair when I needed one. Now I have them stashed all over my studio plus a few on the main floor of the house and even one pair in the upstairs master bath (comes in handy for cutting off clothing hang tags, loose threads, the occasional wild hair, etc.). Since my DD was the most common culprit, I dug into my stash of classroom tools from when I had my store and pulled out a half dozen small scissors just for her. I tied ribbons on the handles and said, "See this ribbon? These are the ONLY scissors you are allowed to use. Leave mine alone!" She does a pretty good job of keeping her stuff together. LOL, notice I said 'together' and not 'picked up'.

LOL, notice I said 'together' and not 'picked up'. I'm SO glad it's not just MY house. At least everyone knows not to touch my fabric scissors (on pain of death) but all the others seem to be fair game. I've taken to stocking a pair in just about every room and I can STILL never find a pair when I'm reaching for one. There's a pair in the kitchen by the phone (and a utility pair in the utensil crock), I have a pair in my desk AND my scrapbook desk. I bought a pair for each of the kids and tied coloured ribbon to them to identify whose was whose. There's a pair on DH's desk AND on the computer desk. YDD has a whole box of craft and school scissors...but she's the main culprit in borrowing mine...because mine all have a HOME and she can find them
