- that you craft with or do you go it alone?
If you have a group do you find it helps keep you motivated?

I craft alone usually. I have a friend who will come over a couple times a year but that's it. My daughter will scrap with me sometimes. I love that but it's so much more difficult. She's five and quite chatty. I have trouble getting into it because my thought process gets interrupted a lot. However, I wouldn't trade it for anything. She's the next generation of scrapbooked getting into it at a young age!

I have a room but usually craft alone. Sadly no one that I am close to is crafty. But I love having a room to do my thing when I can, it is definitely relaxing - therapeutic sometimes.

Unfortunately, I have no scrappy friends. My mom is my scrap partner but...she lives 2000 miles away, so we only get to scrap together a couple of times a year.

We recently moved to a very small town, and I haven't been able to find even ONE person who scraps,so I scrap alone, with my cat helping. LOL! However, I have six girlfriends that I have known for 40+ years, but they live two hours away in my hometown. However,we get together about once a month for a long weekend. I am definitely much more motivated and productive when I am with my girls.

I go to a monthly crop that started out years ago - the shop that ran it closed some the crop members took it upon themselves to carry it on. I used to go religiously every month. Now I work though sometimes I just want to stay at home on Saturday. I do like it there, it's a great group of people and I like to see what everyone is working on, all the goodies they have etc. I used to take so much stuff though. Now I digiscrap it's just my lunch and my laptop!

I recently started up a craft group. Several of my friends were saying how much they missed the scrap crops we did when our kids were little...and most of them still scrapped. So I found a place to meet. We welcome any crafting...or just pull up a chair and visit for awhile

I'm in a Meetup group that I joined when we moved here. It meets once a month to crop and then we often hear about other events going on in our area and I sometimes go to those, too.
I also have a scrappy friend I met randomly through the kit club I design for and it just so happens she lives close to me! So she now comes to the meet up crops and we also get together occasionally to craft as well. It's hard though b/c we both have little kiddos so it has to be a time when someone is around to keep an eye on the littles.

I haven't been to a crop or scrapped with anyone else since 2006 or so and I miss it. I used to have a group of ladies that I invited to my house to scrap when I lived in South Carolina but one lady kept bringing her toddler who got into things like my potted plants and threw dirt all over the floors. That wouldn't have aggravated me so much but the momma was just laughing and would say things like, "Isn't that cute?". Actually, no, it is not cute at all. She didn't even offer to help clean up the messes and havoc her child caused. I couldn't really uninvite her to crops so I just quit doing it. I didn't mind people bringing children or even if they got into some mischief, but dang, react to it with some common sense and courtesy, please.

I craft alone, although my daughter who is 11 loves to craft with me. I also have a friend with a Silhouette in my town and we like to share ideas and sometimes borrow supplies from each other.

Nope, no craft group, I've always thought it would be great to find other people to craft with, but it just hasn't happened. My kids will sit down with me to start some kind of project, but they start chattering away which usually derails my creative thought process. I would love to find a way to keep the creative juices going, yet still hang out with my kids.

Both I have a fairly large group of scrappy friends that still do crops a few times a year. I'm more productive when I scrap at home though

I do have a group of ladies from church that I get together with. We have been taking a little break the past few months. But hope to pick up again. I also have a friend who comes over once or twice a month to scrapbook with me. My girls, 12 and 15, craft with me occasionally as well.

triplettkarla - which Ben Franklins? I go to the monthly Paper Mania classes at the one in Redmond.
I do have a crafty group of friends. We started out on a Yahoo group and now have a Facebook group. A few of us do the Paper Mania thing together, we plan weekend LSS hopping shopping trips, did the Paper Chase together and do a few long weekend retreats every year.

I craft alone most of the time. Twice a year I meet up with friends who live in another part of the country for a weekend of scrapbooking and fun.

I craft alone. My girls are grown and do not scrap. I wouldn't mind if I had friends over to my house but the thought of packing everything into a huge bag or two (or three or four) to unpack then pack back up to bring home and unpack again sounds a lot like work to me.

I craft alone in my craftroom. I haven't been to a crop in years. All the LSSs near me closed.

When we moved here 4 years ago i joined a scrapbooking meetup. I have met some great friends and had so much fun. I probably would have quit scrapping without their crops. Our apartment is so tiny its hard to pull everything out.
Before moving here we had a craft & playroom and i mostly scrapped alone. Occasionally I went to crops, and I had a close friend who I would scrap with sometimes.
I really like cropping with friends but im way more productive solo.

I belong to a paper crafting club, but what I am missing most right now is being able to go into a store and see & touch all the pretty paper, (of which I don't need any more of, thank you!), and other scrapping items. Pretty paper, pretty ribbons...sadly no stores within 2 hours of here now and then it's only the one and I wonder how much longer it will last.

I meet up with a group once a month at my LSS to work on Project Life. It's nice to get together and motivate each other and our store owner is great about providing us the space for free for this (THANKS DEB!!!). We pay her back by doing our best to buy our supplies through her and spreading the inspiration when shoppers come into the class to check out what we're working on.

I think a group would definitely be fun, but I'm generally a loner. Crops are few and far between around here anymore and that really sucks.
