I'm not up on all the mixed media supplies. I use stickles occasionally and want something that will just add a shimmer to my pages or embellishments I have created. But not with whole glitter, more of a translucent shimmery accent. I have seen the effect in swaps I have received in the past. Something that is just applied and dries. Any suggestions?

I love my Wink of Stella pen to do just that. It is the clear one and I got it on Amazon. Just perfect for adding a bit of glimmer. You can see just the bit of shimmer it adds on this card.

I immediately thought of some kind of glimmer mist.

I love my wink of stella pen for what you are describing. Mists are messy, so I pull them out less for this purpose.

There is also mica powders like perfect pearls and pearl ex. Add gum arabic and color away. Add water and make your own mists.

Heidi Swapp Color Shine comes in great colors with a glimmer to them. Gold is my favorite.

I discovered the neatest thing this past weekend. One of the ladies I was sharing a table with at the Houston CKC crop had a Gelly clear "stardust" pen. It's a gel ballpoint pen, has a fairly fine point, and the ink is a subtle shimmer that really catches the light. She was using it to outline things with, and I loved the effect. I got to try it out by tracing around a design on patterned paper and loved the effect so much that I went and bought myself a 2-pack of them at Joann's the next day.
