The Dirty Dancing TV movie remake is so wrong on so many levels. That movie belongs to Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayzee. I'm so glad she turned down a role in the remake. I'll not be watching the remake, ever.

I'm just kind of flummoxed that Tom Cruise would even be considered for The Mummy? Has he even had a box office hit recently? Is there anyone left who actually likes him or enjoys his acting? His mission impossible movies are good and I am sure they make him tons of money.

I am not a big Tom Cruise fan, but I'm a big fan of Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible.

But that Mummy was the one that was rebooted in 1999, it's not even 20 years old yet and they are rebooting it... again. Or Spiderman (2002) which was rebooted in 2012 and since that was 4 whole years ago I think it's time for a reboot of the reboot of the reboot. Who needs originals when you can just remake the same movie every other year. Spider Man really surprised me when they did the remake of it. It seemed like only a couple years had passed since the "last" Spider Man movie with Toby Maguire. With only 10 years spanning the first one to the 2012 remake.... no thanks. I think some of this is why the more original stuff on Netflix has been so popular. People do want original content.

The Star Trek reboot movies are awesome but the rest is just too much. Get some new ideas and let people with real imaginations have a go.

Vote with your money! And, unless Tom Cruise IS the Mummy, I can't seeing it being feasible. OMG. I spit out my drink. YES! You are right!

I have to admit I was one of those Tom Cruise crazy fans back in the day. I KNOW he is nuts, but when I do see he is going to be in a movie, I get a little excited, BUT it's been years since I have seen him in a movie. I don't think I have seen him in something new since Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The original Mummy film was made in the 20's or 30's.

I got curious about the last Tom Cruise movie I saw, so I went to IMDB. It appears that Mission Impossible (1996) and Jerry McGuire were the last ones I've seen.

'The Mummy', 'the Mummy Returns', 'The Mummy does whatever comes next' are seriously the most over repeated movies on TV over here and if I saw that with Tom Cruise, it might make me even more inclined to chuck my iron through the screen than the sight of K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K Kardashian.
Maybe, though, if the Mummy won...............

the only movies I can think of that I enjoyed that were re-made are the Star Trek movies. I have really enjoyed them. I may not have watched the older ones, though, even though they were of my time. LOL me too! I never enjoyed the tv series or the movies from the 80's but I really enjoy this new reboot. I don't know why but I just do. go figure.

I wouldn't say Im a huge Tom Cruise fan, but I loved him in all his older films - Top Gun, Risky Business, Jerry Maguire, Minority Report to name a few. I can't see him being a good fit for The Mummy but I'm really looking forward to his new Jack Reacher film. I loved the first one.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the talk about a reboot of Splash with Channing Tatum playing a merman. I love the cast for Ocean's 8.

I could see that one going either way. I loved the original Splash and don't think it needs a reboot, but at least it hasn't been done to death (Spiderman, Mummy, etc) Channing Tatum is very easy on the eyes. I'm not sure how good he'd be in a comedy-I'll have to check out the 21Jump Street reboots (!)

There is a rumor that they will reboot The Crow with Jason Momoa playing Eric. It's the worst idea for a reboot I've heard in a while.

I don't think i will mind it. I do like some of the cast for oceans 8, but I hope they don't try to remake it, but that it has the same spirit.

I think Tom Cruise is batshit crazy. However, I like his movies. That isn't how it usually works for me, but with him it does. I actually think him playing against type in Collateral was brilliant.
