Chrispeas - we're in Anaheim for 4 nights, then San Luis Obispo on our way to Monterey for a few nights, then onto San Francisco. From there we end our trip with a few days in DC.

If you need a dr in DC, let us know. I'm military, but I know plenty of people in the area to recommend a dr. And there are tons of DC Peas her on the board.
I hope it gets better. That's a lot of walking on your poor foot.

WHAT??? You got attacked by one of the white tigers there in Vegas (while doing a VIP tour, no less!) but were saved so quickly that they only managed to get your foot? You are so lucky to be alive! Wow, what a story! You can't make that kind of stuff up! I am jealous you are going to Monterey. Probably one of my favorite places I've ever visited. If you've never done a whale-watching tour, they have good ones there (but take Dramamine the night before, if any of you get motion sick.)

Seriously?? You've got to come up with a better story. An ER visit in Vegas is just itching for a more salacious story than that! We lol'd at this...you're right I need a good story. Any suggestions?! My BIL tore his Achilles by stepping backwards wrongly in his yard. One of the best stories we told him to tell instead included skydiving in Australia. You were in Vegas, Baby! You don't even NEED to say anything else! Hope you enjoy your trip anyway.

Dh & I have been to Monterey before MANY years ago so I am really looking forward to it. We are booked on a whale watching your while we're there, very, very excited about that!

You don't need a story. Just say, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"
Hope your injury doesn't keep you from doing all you want to do while here. Have a great time!

My husband had a seizure at the MGM Grand. The ER was a scary place to be. There was a man next to us who was dying of AIDS. THEN years later he was on his way back from Vegas and had a seizure in Utah. The only 2 he's ever had in his life. I told him he's no longer allowed to go there.

Welcome to California! It sounds like you'll be spending some time at Disneyland. That is a bummer about your foot. Hopefully you can get around OK.
Besides Sonic, my other fast food recommendations are In-N-Out, Del Taco, and Chipotle. If you need any map/traffic/shortcuts tips, let me know. There is an phone app that is very useful in LA - SigAlert - that give up to date traffic info.

I can walk but I'm a bit slow & we like to do Disney full-on! Funnily enough we just stopped at In-N-Out for "brunch" (we slept in & missed breakfast) & the fam says the burgers were awesome Will check out your other recommendations, thanks!

Any suggestions?! Maybe the best response might be a big grin followed by "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!" I could never pull that off though.

I highly recommend renting one of the electric carts over renting a wheelchair. It's too hot for someone to be pushing a chair if they don't have to and the cart gives you a place to put your stuff. We used to go to Disney every other year and there were times my knees or feet just were not up to the walk (I have arthritis in both areas.) I had the choice of renting a cart and letting my family have the vacation we had planned or holding everyone back while I limped along. I chose to ride and play. (We didn't use it as an excuse to get to the front of the lines - I honestly could not stand that long and the Cast Members insisted I use the handicap entrance.) Marcy
