I have a few sets of stamping up stamps I bought in the early 2000's. Most have never been used, some are mounted, never used and some unmounted. How do I find out the name of the set, what's the best way to sell them, individually or as a set? Where's the best place to list them?
I also have the ink stamps. Would those be something I can still sell or should I just toss them.

I've had good luck selling my retired stamp sets on eBay. You may try to sell them in 1 lot rather than individually. Unless you have a very rare set, it honestly may not be worth the effort to sell them.
The name is normally on the sticker that most people put on the box.
I would just toss the ink.

I'm pretty good with stampin up names. Ebay is a good place to sell retired stamps.

I have bought lots of stampin up stamps on ebay over the years. I have sold some too. I bought because I liked those images & I never got them. It did not matter to me if it was rare or not. If I wanted a teddy bear set...it was the image not if it was rare. I would buy stamps that are not rare & have for yrs so I would list all.

From a buyer point of view: Pictures are a must
I personally will not google images if a seller does not post pictures. I won't email for pictures either. I'll buy a SU stamp set here and there, but I really don't need any SU stamps, so jumping throught hoops is not going to happen.
I think you shrink your potential market if there are no pictures.

I've bought a number of sets on Ebay over the years. SplitCoastStampers also have FSOT board where you can sell retired sets. Might be worth having a look over there too.

I have bought SU stamp sets from ebay, splitcoast, and the old FSOT board. I don't mind googling for images if the title of the set is given and the price is right.

I had a horrible time trying to sell mine.. I finally donated them to someone who lost all their stamping supplies in a fire. At least I think that is where they ended up at.. never heard from them (which is fine.. I wasn't excepting anything) Just hoped they did get to whoever lost all their stuff. (It was on 2peas a few months before closing)

eBay has been my best source for selling SU sets. I agree with previous posters that rare sets sell best. You can get a general idea of the going rate by doing an advanced search on Ebay looking for completed listings. I try to find four or five completed sales and then list for the average of those sales minus about $5. I then include in my listing that I am selling for a little less than average price. That seems to work best for items that sell for $15-30. Doesn't work as well for sets selling for under $10. A few sets go for more so if you have one of those sets (e.g. Branch Out) then you may get a premium price. Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps.
