What is your go to "color and brand" cardstock for the base of your layouts? Also, do you stay with the same color most of the time or mix it up? Thanks,

For me it depends. My Travel albums are nearly all done on Kraft CS backgrounds - I buy Bazzil Kraft, not textured, in bulk from my favourite online store. For my other LOs, I use whatever works best. I have quite a stash of various colored CS, mainly Bazzil, so I can usually fins something that works.

I love Bazzil but I'm also liking the cardstock in the 19.99 packs at Michaels when they go on special for $5 or $6 -they have a nice subtle texture to them.
Colour-wise? I'm all over the place, I like colour

if I use cs for a background, 90% of the time it's white. I'm not super picky about what brand. I happen to be using AC at the moment.
I used to use tons of kraft but not so much these days. if I do, my go-to is by the paper studio, hobby lobby's in-house brand. I prefer the dark paper bag-like color. I will use light kraft if it comes with a kit.
I got rid of my colored cs years ago, with the exception of black, brown, navy, grey and pink. if I get it in a kit, I'll use it, but I almost always use it as a frame for pretty paper.

I used to LOVE and be partial to WorldWin and Bazzil back in the day but I'm not so particular now. I definitely prefer a nice textured cs over smooth. As far as color, I go with whatever floats my boat...an my photos and embellies.

I'm big on matchy-matchy, so color-wise, it depends on the colors in the layout. If I get stuck, kraft tends to be my go-to because it goes w/so much. Not picky about the brand. One color that I absolutely is Bazzill's Ivy. When I heard they were being bought out, I was afraid they'd change the color, so I bought tons. It's the perfect green for pics w/trees or grass, it works w/pics w/water (lake water tends to have a greenish hue) & it's a good Christmas green. Probably my favorite color & most used colored cs ever.

I'm an American Crafts white cardstock fangirl. My LO's are about 85% white background, 13% black and 2% patterned paper. I'm very predictable and boring lol! I do love the whiteness of the AC white cardstock though, it's so nice and white!

I use Core'dinations 50 count value pack. It's smooth. I like that better than textured because adhesive sticks better, and it is easier for me to stamp on. I just bought 4 packs for $10 a couple weeks ago during a sale at A C Moore, so I'm set for awhile. I like color, and like variety.

Not that many choices here in New Zealand so I mostly stick with AC White, though I also use patterned paper.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bazzill's texture. On the love side, I think the texture looks rich and nice. On the hate side, I find that my photo mats and layers don't stay stuck to it unless I use Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue and that's a PITA to me. I also don't like how it looks to make paper piecings out of texture paper because I like to chalk the edges, and I don't like how much my cutter hates cutting it. So for most things, I end up choosing smooth papers. I don't really care about the brand as long as it's not really lightweight.

I could use white on every layout until Jesus comes and be happy. My go-to white is Bazzill Avalanche but right now I'm workin' my way through a box of AC 12x12 white. It's just okay. Kind of dull.

These days I only buy white, grey, black, cream, kraft, navy, and red. I don't particularly care what brand/texture as long as it is heavy enough.

Any color what works with my LO almost always Bazzil. But I rarely buy CS anymore since I have so much and prefer pp.

I am partial to Bazzil and colour completely depends on the layout. I'm getting thrifty in my old age though and if I'm using good cardstock as a base that only has 1/8-1/4" showing around the edge I now cut out a 10" square from the middle ( as long as the top layer is sturdy enough to support everything). That way I have matching card stock for mats or tags or whatever else I might want to do with it.
I like the textured Bazzil and I haven't had any problem with things not sticking to it.
I have also starting buying basic colours at M's in the packs for bases as well. If I use these I do not cut out the middle.

Black, white, kraft or cream for me. I like the smooth better than textured and have been using Hobby Lobby brand mostly. Ive been doing a lot of smaller albums and it seems black has really made the pages pop with patterned paper.

I use a lot of white, and I bought the pack of AC because it was less expensive that way.
But I love Bazzill "Walnut cream" - it's a smooth texture (is it for card makers maybe?) and is a pale pale beige (off white I guess) which goes with all those paper lines that aren't white background. It's not yellow-y. Love it!

I am using less cs than I used to, because the pp is heavy enough now to support pages. But I still use cs often, especially for matting and card bases.
For most projects I prefer a cs that tears in an interesting way (textured or different colour core). When I am stamping or misting, I prefer a smooth surface.
I use a lot of basic colours, and often choose them according to the season. Navy, Aqua and silver in winter, pastels in spring, green, blue, sand, yellow in summer. Brown, orange, gold for fall. Red and green and metallic gold for Christmas. I also like to have a supply of Kraft, cream, black and white. As for matching with pp, I like that the one kit I get has matched cs included.
I like Bazzill, but have been buying Recollections lately. It is quite reasonable in price, a handy medium weight, and what I have been getting lately has a sheen on one side, flat slightly different colour on the other, so I can add interest to my pages by flipping the cs for matts.

Off to try and find Walnut Cream.....
I use it all - I buy in bulk the AC white, cream & black - but also bazzill kraft...I also buy the AC mixed packs which have several sheets of different colours and that will last me a long time. I use cs for the base, but will try and cut a chunk out of the middle for mats, diecutting an alpha or something...
It is very rare for me to us pp for my base, done it, but not often

I still love colored cardstock. I prefer Bazzill and American Crafts because they cut well in my Cameo. I avoid Hobby Lobby's cardstock like the plague.

I use AC white ( hit a good sale and bought lots), black and back when Stampin Up! had 12x12 cardstock I bought tons of crumb cake (kraft) and Early Espresso. So sad that they don't do individual packs anymore.
I have a whole lot of color cardstock that I don't use much but after purging a bunch I've kept a reasonable amount of it and got rid of the rest.
Now if you're going to ask me about my 8.5x11 cardstock that I bought from SU! for cards that I rarely do anymore...
