Okay I searched on the old board and this new board and didn't find any posts on Jill's wedding. She got married on June 21st, I believe.
I don't care one way or the other how they live (but please Michelle don't have any more babies) but I do watch the show. I've enjoyed watching Jill and Jessa be in relationships and thought Derrick's proposal to Jill was sweet.
Now are you all going to tell me it was set up for the show  ?

I saw a few pictures online throughout the week. Jill is so beautiful! I love her dress. They make a very cute couple and I wish the well in their marriage.

I admit that I love the show.  I did see the big marathon leading up to the proposal, and it was sweet. I called my husband and told him I wanted him to write me a song. LOL!! |

I am sad to report that I spent waaay too much time last weekend trying to find any info about their wedding. I found some odd message board(and I don't even know how)  They are crazy over there. I saw some leaked photos early, like maybe Sunday. The thread over there about the wedding is like 56 pages long and if you ever thought the NSBR was nutters......go read there. I only really know the Duggars from 2Ps but did a search and her dress was really nice - she looked lovely....But - this thing about never having kissed each other just seems a little strange. I can understand wanting to wait til the wedding night for a bit of the 'happily ever afters' but to have never even kissed?  |

I saw a few pictures online. I like them because I'm a Packer fan and he reminds me so much of a young Aaron Rodgers. He looks just like him. I know it's a logical way of thinking. |

I would really be surprised if that first kiss was "really" the first kiss. If you watched any of the last 3 or 4 episodes, Jill and Derrick were really all over each other...not too much, just excessive for what we have been told by the whole Duggar franchise. It was actually refreshing to see them so attracted to each other.

I caught an episode, after having not watched in quite a while. She was waiting for her beau at the airport and was so excited. It was cute.

They didn't make a huge deal out of it, but I think it was surprising to everybody. My mom thinks that is why they had a short engagement. She said it was obvious that they were really attracted to one another. |

Yes, her dress was beautiful! I'm sure the wedding itself will be on the next season of the show. After all they televised Josh's wedding and Erin Bates for the show. They do make a cute couple.

We went out together on and off for5 years but he was a horrible slobbery kisser  He truly is the nicest guy and even now he would do anything for me. He is also divorced ,but shallow me just can't get past the kissing memories! |

And this is my first "created" post! Yay you! I thought his proposal song was really terrific. I don't think those girls can act that smitten. They make me smile to watch. I hope they live a long and happy life together. |

I agree with aKathy--- there are some really rotten kissers running around out there. Of course, I guess if she's never kissed anyone before maybe she wouldn't know the difference?
I don't watch the show, but my girls always turn it on in the morning when they're getting ready for swim practice. The little bits of the courtships I've seen make me laugh a bit. I agree with the previous poster who pointed out that Jill and her beau display a lot of affection for one another, and are obviously really into one another. Jessa, on the other hand always looks so reserved and bored with her guy.

I usually never post on Duggar threads because they can get really heated (people seem to either love them or hate them - I have seen the freejinger boards!)
But Jill and Derrick seem very much in love, and I hope they have a happy marriage. I caught the "frontal hug" and I think they are very attracted to each other.
I don't really care if they save their first kiss for marriage - I figure that they will learn together what they like and what they don't, and it will be something they work out together. There are worse things than being a bad kisser.
But Jessa's courtship, I sort of feel differently about. Her guy, Ben - there is just something about him that gives me the creepy stalker vibe. His family brought him up from Hot Springs to go to their church. Like a 3? Hour driver. Just to meet her. It's like he saw her on tv and stalked her. And whoever said she seems bored - I agree. Maybe that's just her personality or maybe she's just uncomfortable having it on tv, who knows? I guess we will see how this one plays out.

Jessa, on the other hand always looks so reserved and bored with her guy. I kind of see what you mean, but like another poster said, that could just be her personality, or perhaps that the cameras are filming and she is uncomfortable with it.
It's funny though because if you had asked me last year who would be the shy and reserved one, I would have said Jill. |
