There must be something wrong with me. I'm trying to use the free $25 credit since getting my Cameo and there is not a lot that is exciting me thus far. Am I missing something? I've only gone through about 7 pages of designs and have starred a few 'wishlist' worthy but Idk.
I've taken several of the Refupeas advice and have downloaded a lot of free cut files and images from several resources and LOVE them already! I'm filling my library up each evening and having fun with that, lol.
Maybe some of you can point me to some of your favorite Design Store favorites? Please?!

You'll likely have better luck if you look for what interests you.
Try searching for specific shapes you might want (eg. "pinked", "flower", "stitched", "heart", "label", "tag", "tree", "pumpkin") Search for "brush script" or "words" if that's what you are looking for. "Stencil" is another good category. Try searching by occasion - Christmas/Spring/Summer/Birthday. There are some good designers. I liked a lot of Lori Whitlocks designs, or try "american crafts" or "echo park". I haven't purchased anything in almost 2 years, but that's because I did a subscription for a year and got a lot of basics. Plus, I've found lots of freebies around the internet, or purchased from Kerri Bradford or the Cut Shoppe.

Agreed - I find I 'do better' when I go in looking for something specific, rather than just browse. Speaking of Laurie Whitlock, I made this card for my niece and it was a big hit. Not too hard and easy to change out the paper to fit anyone's birthday. Stuff I have purchased or is on my wishlist is a lot of Christmas items, a couple of these placemats that I hope will break up busy patterned paper & surprisingly quite a few cards.

I like the overlays. I also like the ones that have multiple pieces. I like the designs from several years ago too. Go back 150 pages or so and see if the designs aren't more to your liking.

Another one to go for what I am interested in. Frames, labels and nested shapes, backgrounds, project life pieces, lots of Christmas for December Daily.
Something for me that changed how I view things in the store is to remember that you can un-group and use a portion of the design. A good example is a phrase that I wouldn't use but has a word or words in a font I really like and could mix with others or use alone to make a custom title, or cards that have really pretty designs but I don't really want the card so I'll ungroup & use just the designed piece.

I have found that lately there isn't anything in the store that I have to have! But I had a large subscription for 2 years and when you've got over 7,000 designs that's probably why! For me it's easier to find something I want when I'm working on a page and believe it or not I don't alreay have what I'm looking for! Hard to imagine but it does happen on occasion. I always like the word files more than shapes but I have a thing for fonts so that's probably why! Sometimes it's just easier to download a saying or word than trying to dig through my numerous fonts (I think there's a hoarding pattern here) and doing it myself!

I like some of the sketch fonts...they work very well with pens to journal. Jenna Sketch is my favorite. I also do quite a bit of the phrase files and like things like pop up cards, boxes, etc. Shapes like arrows or scalloped boarders are some of my favs.
Generally once I find a designer I like (Lori Whitlock for example)...I scroll through their entire collection.
At this point, I have just about everything I could ever use. And just periodically browse the new releases.
This past weekend I was making cards and needed a flamingo and an owl, which I didn't have. So, went looking for those specific images.

Make sure you get it spent! You only have 30 days to use it from the time you activated it. It will expire at the time you started it (not midnight).
Any credits you don't have spent will go POOF!

Look at fonts too. They're higher priced than shapes.
Look at simple stories and echo park. Lots of shapes that coordinate with their lines which you might have.
I also love a lot of their generic ticket, tabs, and date are stuff.33 always need those things, right?

Interesting you posted this as I went in a few days ago to see what was new in the last 3 weeks or so and found almost nothing I was really interested in. I've had a sub for about 3 years so I've amassed quite a collection of designs and fonts but up until recently, I always could load up my cart with new stuff that I liked.

Think about the things that you scrapbook and try searching for those items. For example, my daughter is a cheerleader and I searched for "cheer". Interestingly enough, the search brought up some Christmas files because Cheer was often linked to Joy and Peace!
Make sure you look in the free section. Sometimes you can get the free ones if you buy a certain category of file. Sometimes you can get them with any design. I will get a few designs, click on a free one and checkout. Then I'll do it again to make sure I can get all the free designs that I can. The software wouldn't let me get more than one free design at a time unless it was the weekly freebie with the other free with purchase designs.
