Woh, where did you drive from? I take E-470 a lot and it doesn't cost that much to and from. You can take lightrail (when it works) into Denver and rent from there. Right now there is/was a shortage of rental cars because we had some major hail and everybody's car was getting fixed. I've never rented from DIA, so I can't give you info there. From the Springs to the airport it can cost $40 for both ways. We usually take I-25 unless it is rush hour. When I was out there in late June/early July, we always took I-25 back and forth between Denver and Colorado Springs. I don't recall a toll road at all in our travels. We used the Waze GPS app. Not sure if my daughter had it set to avoid tolls or not. We were not in a rental car then but my daughter's car. |

They have a certain set of skills! If you take several other routes, they aren't toll roads. When are you heading out? Our weather has been gorgeous! We've been in the 70's and low 80's for a while with nice pouring rains every couple of nights. We walk around our lake every night and the past few nights it has almost been cool! |

950nancy: I'll be out there the 2nd weekend in October. My daughter and her wife are now living in Denver/Englewood. I have family in Colorado Springs. My one brother is getting remarried which is the primary purpose of the trip.

Maybe you'll be in time for the change of color with the Aspens. Have a great visit. |

950nancy: LOL, I'll be watching the weather forecasts quite closely! My other brother wants me to take photos of his family with the Aspens for background, so hopefully they'll be in their full glory right about then
