Good morning ladies!! It's Monday again - I swear the weekends FLY by!! We had a pretty relaxing day yesterday. We were able to swim for the first time in a week and a half. With the super hot weather, we had some algae issues but it's all cleared up again and we're ready for the heat the end of this week! This is our last week before school starts. I'm so sad. I just adore the summers and having my kids home and I always start feeling a sense of dread right about now. Obviously, I know the kids have to go to school but I miss them when they go back. It'll take me a couple of weeks to get into the swing of things. The beginning of the year is always stressful for my ds as he gets back into the groove of school...and that in turn makes it stressful for me. Today was official weigh in...and I was able to get back down to where I was last week after being up almost 3 lbs most of the week. I'm sure it was partially water retention from that time of the month the other part, not eating so great. I'm happy that I broke even but I'm ready to move out of the 190s and I still have 5 lbs to go. Today we're off to do tie dye with my BFF and her girls. This morning I need to work out and fold some laundry. And since it's supposed to be cool today (74), I'm thinking that I'll make some pot pies. DH LOVES pot pies and he's overly stressed at work this week so I'm thinking that I'll surprise him. I hope you all have a great start to your week and that you had a great weekend!!

Oh brandy327, I hear you on not wanting the kids to go back to school. We were gone all weekend taking DD#3 to school. So now all 3 are in their apartment together, and classes start tomorrow. I am SO, SO sad. I hate not having them here. We have so much fun together, and now I will probably turn into the crazy dog lady. LOL! I need to pray about what I should be doing now. I just pray that DD#3 doesn't have any health issues this semester and that she can finally thrive. So proud of my girls but man I miss them!!! So, I was down 0.8 lbs. Not great but not a gain. Eating travel food and not getting all of my water when I travel just does me in. Not sure what we will have for dinner. It's going to be strange just always cooking for two. How does one do that? Well, enjoy the day everyone!

I lost the .5 lb that I had gained. I still have miles to go before I nearly at my goal.
I tried to motivate myself to go workout yesterday. That didn't go so well. Maybe I will get to the gym today. My feet hurt so much from work. The only shoes that work are flip flops and we can't wear them. I have great shoes but everything kills my feet.

brandy327 - Yay for a good loss! Although it sounds like the beginning of the school year is stressful, it also could be a bit of a "refresh" to chunk into some smaller mini-goals to help get into the next decade weight-wise. Enjoy your last week off. Pot pie sounds AMAZING! @patter - Congrats on the loss! I can relate to not feeling like that's a great loss, but it does all add up for sure. On cooking for 2, do you or your DH eat leftovers? I'm so glad my husband does, he takes them for lunch every day. I do once a month cooking (I use onceamonthmeals.com for help although I think I'm ready to venture out on my own after a year and a half! I want to try some recipes that aren't on their site), and I make servings for 4, even though it is just the two of us. That usually gives us enough for both of us for dinner plus one lunch for DH. That's another idea though, if you're used to cooking larger portions -- still fix your normal portions and then just automatically freeze half so you build up a stash of easy meals. For example, get all the ingredients to make lasagna as normal, but instead of putting it in a 9x13 pan, do two 8x8 pans and stick one straight in the freezer. Our frozen meals have totally changed my life!!! I'm basically evangelical about it now. I haven't been walking outside in quite awhile because it has been so hot here. However, it cooled off here and has been raining for about a week straight. The rain is tapering now, and I walked with a neighbor last night. I forgot how fast the time goes when chatting with a friend! I went for another walk this morning just since it is so nice out, and we're planning to walk Tues - Thurs once her girls are at school. I'm going to continue my regularly planned exercise classes, but good to add a little extra easy/enjoyable movement to the day.

Good Morning Ladies!
Home from beach and back to the real world. My eating as pretty good, but not enough water. I try to drink over 100 oz a day and that's hard to do when you're out of routine. Plus, I replaced water with too much alcohol. Will have to weigh on Tuesday and then I'll know the damage. But this is 100 rep week, so I should work it off. Back to chicken and veggies...
brandy327 They have been back to school here for a couple of weeks. Summer flew by.
@patter- Hope and pray your DD stays strong.
Delta Dawn Go to the gym!
AN You are so organized with the meals- I just can't get it together to get ahead.

brandy327 - Yay for a good loss! Although it sounds like the beginning of the school year is stressful, it also could be a bit of a "refresh" to chunk into some smaller mini-goals to help get into the next decade weight-wise. Enjoy your last week off. Pot pie sounds AMAZING! I plan to do exactly that. While I'm not happy about summer coming to an end, I DO really look forward to having a more concrete schedule. I'll be able to get my workouts in early (bofore 8am most days) which is always nice. I plan to do some browsing through Pinterest and other websites to find some new recipes to try as well. And as we move into cooler temps, that'll open up some new possibilities for dinners as well. I love pot pie - but I'll probably skip the crust since it's so high in fat and calories and just eat the center. ETA: I understand about the walking outside. It doesn't get nearly as hot here but when it's upper 80s and 90s I just don't go out. I do all my exercise in the basement. Last week I was able to run outside and boy was that nice!! Since I'll be doing a lot of my workouts so early in the morning once school starts, I love that I'll be able to do them outside!

Oh I have good news. My son moves home today after finishing school. I don't know how long he will want to live at home now but I will have him for at least a few months. He wants to stay in town here so I am counting my blessings. I have missed him so much. He is finished his program now and has an interview on Wednesday and with luck will get the job.

I was in a bit of a funk all weekend and did very little but this morning was cooler so I just got back from running. I know in my head I feel better when I exercise but I still find the motivation hard to come by.
I too feel like the summer is coming to an end and it's bittersweet. My son who is 17 has been away almost the whole summer and I'll be so glad to see him on Saturday. He's been in Costa Rica for three week and before that he was a camp counsellor. But, my daughter who is 21 has been home all summer and she heads back to university a week on Wednesday. So I get one home and one leaves. Parenting older kids is difficult and the goodbyes don't seem to get any easier but as hard as it is, I am thrilled to see them flourish. hang in there @patter.

AN, hubby despises leftovers. I love them, and it makes it hard that he doesn't like them. I like the freezing idea. Maybe I will try that. And thanks for the link.

I was looking at myself in some LulaRoe yoga pants yesterday. I looked at my derriere in the mirror and it's not as big as it used to be. I mean it's lost it's bubble shape. This sounds funny, but my mother had a flat behind and mine has changed. I am liking this a LOT. I didn't think I would ever get rid of it, and it's going!

Hello
Our annual audit starts today which means I have our accounting firm in my office for the next 2 days. It always freaks me out and I get really nervous for no real reason. I will be glad when it's over.
I went to the grocery store last night and was able to food prep for the week. My last 2 weeks of food have been horrible so I am really happy to get back on track. I also got a office frig in my office now. We have a small one for the whole office but with 6 people it fills up quickly. DH and I bought one for my office (and the other 2 people upstairs) so now I can keep a few things in it instead of having to bring my whole food every day.
I will run when I get home. My next 5K is 4 weeks away so I plan on using my weekly runs to work on speed. I'm going to run 1 mile at pace, .25 walk and do that 3 times. Hopefully I can drop my 5K time another minute.
Oh...I get to pick up my medal from Saturday this afternoon. I'm so glad they didn't give it away!
