I have some major lower back pain going on. I have LOTS of other health issues right now and I'm taking care of them so I have put this back pain on the back burner so to speak. But it's time to address it.
I have to get both knees replaced and have a possible surgery date in early November. But I think my lower back pain is due to the knees. I have some exercises that I do to lessen the pain, but need to do more. My PCP is working with me on the other issues ( cardiac aortic valve leaking, lung inflammation, hot flashes[!] ) and I did mention the back hurting. She has asked me to lose weight, and stretching out the back. But I think it's not enough.
What do you do to alleviate back pain? Do you think a chiropractor or pt would be best? My PCP is a D.O. and I have a call into her as well.

If it is muscle related, I would go with physical therapy. I went to a place called Airrosti, and they worked wonders on me!
If you think it may have to do with your alignment, I'd go to a chiropractor.
