Hi all, Are there many Aussie girls on this board? I miss the Aussie thread on the old 2peas. I met heaps of ladies at crops and meet ups back then and would love to start a monthly thread again. Is anyone interested? (by the way, I've been a member of this board since the start but for some reason I wasn't able to log in with my other name "ennajohn" - just in case anyone is wondering why this is my first post )

Welcome to posting ennamaugeri ! We are so glad you are here. i am interested in a monthly thread. I was a member of the old 2Peas as well, i was a member since about 2004 on and off...mostly posting in The Pub and General Scrapping. There are a few of us for sure. I am technically an American by birth, but I live in Melbourne with my Australian born husband, and two of our three children were born here as well. I adore Melbourne and never plan to move from Australia. It is my true home, so hopefully I count as an Aussie to you, even though I probably talk funny. My husband loves to tease me about my hard Rs. I moved here in 2008, and have only been back to the U.S. to visit a couple of times. Where are you in Australia? Is there much of a scrappy community?

Hi ladies - good to hear from you camcas - I am in Skye (Melbourne) Impearia - if you are now living in Melbourne and like it here, then you are an Aussie and a true Melbournian All our local stores have closed down and a lot of the on-line stores too. That's why I re-opened my scrapbook business. From 2005 - 2012 I had a home-based scrapbook business - I taught classes and we had two crops a month. I closed up due to family health issues but about 7 months ago I decided to look into kit clubs and couldn't find much here so I've opened up an on-line store with monthly kits. myscrapbookroom.net if anyone is interested in having a look. What would you like this thread to be? Someplace to share ideas, just chat about general scrappy stuff, try to arrange meetups and crops? I'd love to hear other ideas

I'm in Qld, near Ipswich, although born and bred in Sydney and will always be a N.S. W. girl at heart. I'd forgotten about the Aussie thread on the old 2 peas.

Good morning ladies - Is anyone doing any scrapping this weekend? My daughter has dancing all day on Saturday while I do all the admin and accounts for the studio. I'm hoping to do some scrapping on Saturday night and hopefully all day on Sunday So, what are your plans for the weekend?

I'm a born and bred Aussie, though I no longer live there. We had the great luck for DH to be offered a job in Germany 7 years ago, so here we are.
No scrapping for me this weekend - we are on vacation in Crete this week, which is just gorgeous. I am taking loads of pictures though.

Hello all I am in Brisbane, northern suburbs. Was not really heavily active on the boards at 2peas but I would occasionally pop onto the Aussie thread. Not much scrapping going on at the moment in my house, my scrap room has become the dumping ground for stuff while we sort out the downstairs floor so at the moment I have boxes, camping gear, a few wardrobes and a fridge to shuffle around, easier to try and get the rooms all sorted first before I start back crafting.

Out of curiousity, do you use the American spelling of words like "color, mom, favorite"? I just can't do it...

Yep, in Australia we pronounce and spell it mum. What I was asking was whether it bothered Aussie girls to use products with the American spelling. For example... you spell it 'color', we spell it 'colour'. When I try to use a product with the American spelling, it always looks wrong to me
