I have never declawed any of my cats, but to be honest I never really gave much thought to how cruel it actually was. I just thought it was one of those "standard" type procedures. It was a real eye opener for me.
It's streaming on Netlfix at the moment if anyone is interested in seeing it.
ETA: The Paw Project is now an actual charity raising funds to correct the feet of cats Big and domestic, that have been declawed.
